Does Perry transferring make more sense now?

Seemed very odd at the time. Of course the conventional wisdom was he saw the “writing on the wall” but maybe the words written there weren’t what we thought.

Maybe Im conflating things here in my misery.

Remember when the usual suspects said Cal didn’t want to recruit him even though he recruited him, offered him a scholarship, and accepted his commitment? Remember when the usual suspects lied and said Travis Perry loved UK so much that he came anyway? Always lying.

He transferred before most of the current team were even on campus together, so I doubt it was related to any current struggles.

At any rate, it’s unfortunately looking like the naysayers were right about him not being a high major player. He’s currently shooting a touch under 26% from the field for an Ole Miss team that’s off to a frustrating start of their own. He wouldn’t be the answer to anything even had he stayed.

I would say Noah is arguably a stronger player than Perry and look how much Noah is playing here.

Could be other reasons he left but there seems to be an obvious one

Sorry I should’ve been more specific. I wasn’t talking about him having issues with the current players because he wasn’t on the team with them yet.

I was speaking more to coaching staff, behind the scenes. I should’ve been clearer.

Canary in the coal mine situation.

Honestly just grasping at straws because this has turned sour so quickly.

The only writing Perry saw was there was no playing time for him, not sure is he actually playing on his new team.

Right, so if you’re riding pine, why choose to ride it at Ole Miss instead of staying at UK?

I’m sure there are many factors at play but has just always seemed odd to me.
I'm assuming he didn't plan on being on the bench (alot) at Ole Miss. Beard recruited Perry pretty hard and had talked him up as a contributor.

That’s just what I was told. The guys who told me went to high school with him
It may be true but it's hard to keep things like that secret when you are a public figure.
He or a lawyer on his behalf would have had to make a court appearance for a cause hearing..

And isn't he starting? He is too awful at present to play starter minutes though. People with egos like Perry like the prestige of being a starter.

What? Perry would let fix any problem we have. Lmao. We have a team of Perry’s a bunch of role players.

Perry is not a big time talent for a big time college program. If his dad would stop pushing him to be better than he actually is, he would be a lot better off. If Perry would go to a school like Western Kentucky, Murray State, or Southern I Illinois he could be a star, but that will never happen at a bigger school, and his dad needs to stop trying to live his dreams through his kid. If his dad would stay out of it Perry would be better off. Just my opinion.

Perry didn’t have much respect for Pope. Seems he saw this train wreck coming. Now It seems others don’t respect him either. That (and money) are why he left.

Perry should have absolutely stayed at UK, rode the pine here, get cigar minutes and soak up UK NIL.

He and his family knows this. There has to be a reason he went against all logic.

I would like to hear that reason.

Isn’t that public record?
Exactly.
Remember when Corey Sears had his problems the news was out in no time.
Kinda don't believe this about Travis especially the multiple part.
Every restaining order starts as an EPO then a court hearing is scheduled to see if there is cause to grant a permanent order.

Maybe he was promised playing time at Ole Miss, or maybe it was money I have no idea, I know Perry would be a decent shooting guard, but not that great at point and he can't guard other point guards, just doesn't have the foot speed.

Perry had a few restraining orders against him in Lexington because he continued pursuing girls who weren't interested in him anymore and called off their flings with him.

Not saying that this is false but do you know the process involved in getting a legal restraining order against someone?
There had to be evidence that he posed a risk to the other party.
It also has to go in front of a judge and he is going to want to hear from.both parties involved.
If a UK players name is on a court docket in the city of Lexington it's usually news.
Maybe he was threatened with one and agreed out of court to have no more contact.

Correct. No way there’s even been one and kept secret.

This is interesting. I hadn’t heard this.
