I am really not trying to be a smart ***. Is there just perpetually soccer season in different leagues? Do players play in more than 1 league?

Europe's club teams season - where the best of the best play - is late Aug thru May. Each country has its own leagues at different levels with between 30 & 50 games depending (England has at least six levels with 20+ teams per.). In addition to league games, there are interdivisional/levels tournaments. There are also intercountry tournaments, primarily the Champions League, amongst the top teams from each country. So top teams could play up to 60 games.

Other countries/continents have different seasons with MLS running March thru November. Hell if I know the seasons elsewhere.

On top of that, there is the quadrennial World Cup of country teams that takes place in summer. Leading up to the tournament, there are qualifying tournaments over about a two years period that might involve 15 games. So leagues take periodic breaks to allow club players to play for country teams. Then there's the Olympic tournament, lesser prestige than the WC.

Okay, so it's not my imagination that I see soccer scores all year. Europe's season apparently only takes 2 months off so that would explain a lot by itself.

^ Not your imagination. After the Europe club season is over in May, they start practicing for the following season in July. You see big Europe clubs come to US in July & play "friendlies" vs. MLS all-stars or even MLS teams or against each other here.

The Euro Cup and World Cup are must see events. I can’t seem to get into Premier League, MLS, La Liga, etc. Once the flags start flying, I’m in.
I have watched 2 soccer games in my life. The last was at a friends lake house and everyone else wanted to watch it but me on a VERY hung over morning. The first was when the World Cup was in the US and we were playing Brazil. They tried to play for a nothing-nothing tie so they could win in a shootout and I was never so bored in my life. I love hockey which is basically the same but soccer just isn't my thing.

I only get into it when it's America v the World. National pride. Otherwise could not care less about it. I get it, I played as a youth. It's just boring. I never played hockey, for example. But its a hell of a lot more fun to watch even if I don't know all the rules.

Football, baseball, and UK basketball. Those are enough for me.

Bundesliga goes insane without FC Bayern München e.V. in the Finale.

I DVRed 8 EPL games this weekend, Scan thru all to see goals & watch tight matches & the big teams. NFL is dead to me. UK hoops don't interest until tourneys - if Uk even gets in.

I can't wait to see the corona flops. When someone gets too close to another dude, one of them is gonna fall down and act like he can't breathe.

I like soccer and played soccer. I just can’t get into anything outside of the men’s and women’s national teams. I’m all in with them.

You should have caught the LAFC vs. Club America game for the right to go to the CONCACAF Champions League Final Saturday night; the Club American goalkeeper--not so coincidentally Mexican Memo Ochoa who took a dive over a prone player acting like he took a bullet from Lee Harvey Oswald right through his right temple, coached by former Mexican Nation coach Miguel Herrera--did just that to get an LA player sent off right before the half and they were winning 1-0 which usually is death for any team playing a whole have with 10 players vs. 11; LAFC came out of the tunnel down a man and pissed, proceeding to score two goals within 90 seconds to start the 2nd half on the goalkeeper whose shameless flop set off melee at the end of the first half. The Coach Herrera was also ejected at the half after baiting the wrong LAFC assistant coach into confrontation...he got his eye dotted by a 6"5 former US striker. Herrera refused to leave the field of play after ejection...and was summarily fired today by Club America.

The tournament was being played without video review which I would submit moving forward no US based league or team is going to agree to in the future, at least that would be my position as an owner.

Got my soccer indoctrination during the 2000 Euro Championships. Sitting in bars in Scotland and learning the game from the locals. Crowds going insane over games not even involving any teams from the UK.....Was like NCAA tournament is to us.

That experience morphed me into becoming big World Cup fan, will watch as many matches as I can. Thought US not being in last one would influence my devoted hours.......nope.

Used to be loyal Saturday morning Premier watcher, but for some reason its the one sport were the lack of fans has really affected my interest. Just doesn't seem the same? Maybe when they come back, I will?

MLS....never had slightest interest.

Looking at investing in small ticket package for Lou City and Racing Louisville this season.

I was just making a joke. I don't even like soccer. I can see the flops on highlights.
