The two female dogs sniffed urine samples from 900 men, 360 with
prostate cancer and 540 without. Both animals were right in well over
90% of cases.

What do the dogs do to indicate that one has cancer and one does not? Do they bark once for yes, and two for no? Do they start to drink it?

Also, 90% right? Does that mean that they were 90% right about the ones that had cancer or all samples? For instance, if they simply reacted to 90% of all samples, then could that read that they were wrong about the ones who did not?

^good questions. I think with a little more training, instead of going to your doctor, you just go to the pound, let a dog sniff your a$$ and watch the expression on it's face.

Dogs are amazing creatures. I would guess that the 90% right is 90% of all samples. There are dogs trained to sniff mold in the walls and bedbugs. Not to mention drugs and explosives.

The mold sniffing dog that I met would tap his paw near the sample that had mold.

Animals are amazing. Didn't Richard Gere train a gerbil to perform a prostate exam over a decade ago.
