Cael doesn't simply inch past previous high marks, he steps into unrealistic like it is simple. I picked 7, 8 wouldn't surprise me.
I went with 8 and it’s not insane to think it could happen this year. I’m definitely not betting on it but there are 8 guys I can absolutely see making the finals
I was going to say eight, too, but then Goggles pointed out in the other thread that Okie State is growing, and I chickened out, and said seven. Which is really a sign of respect for DT because it’s not as if he were finding new wrestlers from Mars. He is just going to help elite recruits get closer to their potential, whereas other coaches that he displaced, Smith or whomever, were going to help elite recruits languish.
Next years team will be the best team Penn st has ever had I believe.

Agreed. Not a single weak spot. There isn’t really a weak spot this year either but Ono/Blaze is a big upgrade at 141 and Mirasola will have another year of growth under his belt. That looks like the best team ever assembled. I think SVN would be the only one to have not represented the US on a world team. Ono obviously didn’t represent the US but is still a world champion

Could but most guys want to keep it rolling. It's how you ended up with Rocco he wanted to keep it rolling and the staff wanted him to RS. If Duke is looking to use an Olympic RS in 2028 no way he's gonna RS in 2027
