Thanks for info

your welcome - and I wasn't trying to be a smart-A. But the AR forums will have plenty of A+ resources to help for a unique project like that. The only thing I would say is that I'm not aware of Daniel being in the business of selling only upper assembly parts. They do market complete uppers, very good quality, with excellent hand guard configurations, floating, chrome-line barrels, etc. If you are looking for the upper assembly "part" only then, between those two, Bravo will probably be your option.

Open to suggestions been researching things and really like thise 2. Plus the echo trigger is really sweet as well. It doesnt come out for another month or 2. I like alot of spikes tactical rail systems as,well. I think I might go Daniel defense upper everything but rail. Spikes makes this rail called the spider. It is sick. I think I am going to do a patriot Brown and black camo duracoat. I would post pic of my lower but posting pics on here is to confusing for me.

Want a different option other then sig brace as well I dont want gun strapped to my arm. I want to be able to sling it and get to my side arm in a tactical situation. Also I am getting my ccw. I making my blackout a conceal carry lol. Im going to keep it in a back pack lol. Situation hits I pull out an AR insted of a pistol lolz!

I like the sound of your project. and I can't fault your strategy. A bit curious about it being motivated for "situational" purposes, as 300 blackout for ammo availability / cost effectiveness doesn't seem to fit that niche. I like the ballistics. But a build project and ammo stock-up investment could cost you the twice the amount doing same thing with very a high quality AK platform. Also curious about how loud a .300 blackout in a pistol / short barrel configuration would be. My guess is pretty damn loud. Pistol configuration AK's can be f'n A loud. Sorry for all the AK comparison talk, but the .300 blackout was created in pursuit of something that would (among other desirables) cycle in AR-15 platform as a .30 caliber and perform equivalent to Russian 7.62 x 39mm . Sort of an odd ambition, as AR platforms have been commercially available for several years now which not only cycle 7.62 x 39mm, but will do so using standard AK mags. Can't say as I've seen one of those in a pistol configuration however. Be curious to know if such a dog exists.

Yeah just want something different and like the AR platform over the AK playform. Plus I can build a 5.556 upper and have either a. 300 or . 556. I all ready have a S.A.S.S. and another AR 15. Like I said something different. Its going to be KOOl!

Spikes tactical has a nice 300 blk out upper I might just snag. Simplify the build. Comes with upper receiver, barrel, low profike gas block, the rail I want, etc. That will leave me with buffer tube, brace, trigger assembly "ECHO TRIGGER" safety, magazine release. Its got to be all tactical stuff though HOOOAAA###!! IM GOING TO NAME it MISS DEATHFACE since the mag well is a killer *** skull!

The actual stripped upper manufacturer doesn't matter a bunch. For most manufacturers they use a handful of other companies to make their stripped uppers/lowers. So, often they all come from the same place anyway.

I do know that Bravo has really drawn top reviews from their BCGs through the yrs. But it's not like DD is trash....they are one of the upper tier brands for a reason. I'd say you're fine with either.

There are several good barrel makers out there. Just do your homework. One of the main mistakes is not matching your feed ramps correctly.

I was lil confused was Bravo considered trash or DD? I seen a spikes tactical upper seems to come with a pretty solid barrel. I really want a Noveske barrel but dont think I can afford it.

No, neither Bravo nor DD are trash. Far from it. Both are upper tier brands. You won't go wrong with either.

DD has cold hammer forged barrels at cheaper prices than Noveske as well. Also, I think Yankee makes some .300 barrels. I don't think they are CHF but they'd be cheaper.

I may wait to see how the reviews are for the Echo trigger before picking one up. Especially if it's new.

Almost everyone that I've ever talked to about building an AR says the same thing. If you are going to save money don't do it on the critical parts....do it on the non-critical parts. For example, the trigger, the BCG, the barrel are essential parts that determine how well your firearm operates. You want those to be the highest quality that you can afford. These are the parts that could be the difference between life/death depending on the situation. Parts like the stock and hand guard aren't quite as critical. A $150 hand guard can be every bit as functional as a $450 one.
