A dolphin is a fish and a porpoise is a mammal. A dolphin is also delicious, you may know it as mahi-mahi but it was a dolphin before they changed the name. I guess restaurants didn't want tourist to think they were eating Flipper. You still see dolphin on the menu of some of the older restaurants in Florida. They didn't get the memo of the name change.

Gators are in fresh water and crocs in salt. For the most part. Crocs are much more dangerous and very aggressive. Gators not so much.

Dolphin v Porpoise - Dolphin for the win. Grilled or blackened preferred.

Gator v Croc - I'll go with gator. Deep fried or blackened, but deep fried preferred.

Have a pet Axolotl named Pete. He is pretty cool. Kid named him Zelda, I call him Pete. Good pet. Requires zero attention and cool to look at.

I remember being at a restaurant when a family member thought dolphin fish was the same as dolphin mammal. It was a fun night.
