Favorite places to stay for a vacation there? Looking for basically just a nice all inclusive beach vacation.

Cool, look forward to hearing about Hard Rock Dennis.

I stayed at a Melia property in Cancun, it was pretty nice. Saw they had one in punta cana too. Heard good things about the Riu as well.

Stayed at the Melia in Punta Cana. I would suggest upgrading to the adults only and then the level on top of that. Rooms were ok, but the pool and beach areas were nice. Food at the steakhouse and the buffet was good. The other 2 restaurants in Quattro were ok. One was Peruvian. I can't remember the other.

We stayed at the Majestic Colonial in April. Fantastic. People are nice, perfect weather, we had like 8 restaurants to choose from, lots of activities.

The girls love white americans and also when you look silly trying to dance to their music. Watch out for penises though.

Stayed at Excellence in the DR and have stayed at their properties in Mexico. Would highly recommend but understand it's a higher end resort that's geared for couples. If you're a young dude looking to slay a 22 year old chick, probably not your resort. Get an Excellence Banana with Rum and thank me later.

Pope, HRH was pretty awesome. Place is enormous. The main building itself is huge, has about 5-6 restaurants, the casino, shops, 2 bars, patio, the works really.

I thought the place was really nice. Food was really pretty good for an all inclusive, and with 9 total restaurants, you gets lots of variety for dinner. Steakhouse, Brazilian Steakhouse, Italian, Asian, Mexican, Carib and the buffet. Lunch is pretty much all buffet or bar food by the pool. The service at the restaurants was really goo as well. Usually in the Carib, it's pretty poor but it was great there. Also, never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. Oh, and you could order late night room service if you want. Room comes stocked with beer and hard liquor.

Pools - I think there were like 12 of them. A bunch right next to the beach, then other ones throughout the property. All very nice. Pretty loud, music blaring everywhere, but that's to be expected. The bigger pools all had swim up bars, and even the small ones had a bar next to them. Bars everywhere. And of course you cn take your drinks anywhere on the property. Some pools were too crowded, but there were so many, wasn;t hard to find space.

Casino was big. 2nd biggest one I've been to in the Caribean. Not as big as the Atlantis, but bigger than the one at the Hyatt in Aruba. Sportsbook was actually bigger/better than the Atlantis. Plenty of blackjack table and none of that single deck horseshit. The bar in the casino is a cash bar, not AI, but free drinks if you are playing, so no biggie.

Beach was nice as well, plenty of umbrellas and such. We didn't spend a lot of time down there though.

Never left the resort, and I don;t think they expect you to.
