They struggled in the Orange Bowl against a very average team. Don't get me wrong...I would have loved a 4 team playoff then but they weren't special. Just good.

the topic is the 2005 team the season opener was against USF and Cincy was the 2nd game of the season which they won (weather was 73 and fair that day) so where does a 14-3 loss come into play in this conversation? If you are talking `1983 (yes i was there) and that was a full 22 years before 2005 and historic weather says is was 77 degrees and fair that day too not 93.
