I hate UL. Still think they are meh at best because the ACC is so terrible but I hope they win every game

"HR hire" lol...based on what? They haven't beaten a top 25 team yet, and the ACC this year is the worst P5 league I can remember. 🤣🤣🤣
He is absolutely a HR hire for them based upon what they have had before.

And if you had reading comprehension, you would see that I pointed out how crappy that league is.

Pump the brakes on what? They have a real shot at winning the next 5-6 easily in that league. Easily the second best team. Nobody is saying they are title worthy but they aren’t a bad team by any stretch.

They aren't a top 25 team. Not with that record.

They have a good team considering they are rebuilding. UL has 5 losses, but lets look at who theyve lost to

Duke
Kentucky
Oklahoma
Ole Miss
Tennessee

They beat Indiana, Clemson, and UNC who is struggling, but is still UNC. 3 of those 5 losses came without a starter and a key reserve.

Give him some credit. He’s played against a quality schedule and has kept his head above water. They hired a good one I believe.

I don’t watch much college basketball outside of UK.

But I did part of one their games when that Guy Ferai look alike was playing.

He was pretty good. That might have been the game he got hurt in?

Actually, two starters (Pryor, Johnson) and and a key reserve (Traore).

It will end up being a good W on our resume.

They for sure did and they are missing two big pieces of the current team for the year.

The ACC sucks. The conference is really bad. UL is improved for sure and Kelsey is doing a great job.

Have said it before. I wish Hepburn would go into the portal after this season and we get him. He is really good. The type you win titles with.

They have a single win against a ranked team. That was Indiana, who has only played a single ranked team, and lost. So sure, they are real good.

Little brother has as many total wins right now in early January as they had in all their previous two seasons combined. In terms of the coaches who would ever realistically even consider applying to that dumpster fire of a program and then have to convince kids to actually go there, Pat Kelsey is absolutely a bleeding edge end-of-the-fireworks-show home run hire.

They’re 0-4 against the SEC. And we handled them pretty adequately. They’re definitely better, and Kelsey is a good coach, albeit quirky, but I like our coach better and think long term we will remain a step ahead of them.

In none of those games did UofL have their full squad, including starters and key reserves, Pryor, Johnson and Traore.

Pryor did play against UT.

Not saying wins were inevitable.

Only Traore is back.

They are decent which is impressive after the last two seasons. It shows just how absolutely awful Kenny Payne was.

There won’t be any easy games against them again though. Especially at the Yum. I believe we will still be better on average but he has them playing good ball it’s not too many pieces. He’s starting to get talent to commit too.

Their schedule is favorable in the 18 team ACC. They don't have any games left with Duke, UNC, or Clemson.
Yeah they will most likely finish the year with a great ACC record and overall. They may challenge Duke for a little bit if they have a slip up. I doubt they will and Duke already beat them, but they won’t have too many losses it’s not looking like.
