The 12-over-5 has been the most common of ‘high-seed over low-seed’ upsets since the men’s tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985 with 12-seeds prevailing 50 out of 140 tries according to NCAA.com, equating to a 35.7 percent success rate for potential spoilers.

5 seeds since 2000 are 34-45-1 against the spreads.

All 5 seeds have advanced only 5 years since 1985!

In 4 of the years, 3 of the 4 12 seeds advanced.

So Creighton, Villanova, Tennessee and Colorado fans should be having nightmares even before the opening tipoffs!

Stevie Austin wants you to hold their beer.

SFA was an experienced led team. If you have that kind of experience you can do damage. They should have beaten Notre Dame.

Morehead State best player is their Freshman big man. They can shoot the 3 if left alone. But they like to slow you down and work it to the big guy. They guard the 3 very well and don't foul much. Their biggest problem is turnovers they turn it over a ton. It's like 14% of their turnovers are from trying to get it inside to their big guy.

Stephen F. Austin was quite a bit better than Morehead State. Morehead State's big (Broom) is the Eagles' best player, but he's only a freshman, and Culver will probably get him into foul trouble early. Should be a blowout.

Too many forget this:

WVU played the toughest schedule in America, documented nationally and verified, because WVU opponents have the best winning record of any team's opponents in the country!

WVU has 14 games against Top 25 teams and was out-scored in those 14 games by TEN POINTS, less than 1 point per game!

WVU has played and stayed with Gonzaga, losing by 5 after leading with 6 minutes to go, and Baylor, losing in overtime!

Who will WVU face in March Madness that is better than Gonzaga or Baylor?

Fans of WVU's opponents should be whining and worrying, NOT WVU fans!

Not MY "fake news." Just national analysis. WVU's opponents have best winning percentage of any team's opponents in the country. So, who do we believe. Your source, which has Big 10 teams as gods, or mine? I don't make claims. I just report analytics and let them fall where they map. Your sources seems strangely lopsided for the Big 10 and not the Big 12, which has 70% of its membership in the Top 25. Big 10 doesn't have near that percentage. I guess we'll have to wait till 3 rounds of Mad Madness to see whether KingCoal or Dinosaur Sportswriter are closer to the truth.

My source for St. Mary's having the toughest schedule by opponents' winning percentage is WARREN NOLAN. In contrast, you have no source, other than your unreliable self. Stop spreading FAKE NEWS.

DON'T FORGET THAT CFE IS THE ONE WHO SAID IRAQ HAD WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.
BY GOD THEY DID HAVE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!!

They had several T-Rex dinosaurs in Baghdad waiting for US troops to arrive. Saw it on the front page of the National Enquirer at the checkout line in Piggly Wiggly.

So stop your bull crap.

I NEVER make things up. I had a source. And I'll be damned if I can find it now. It had WVU's opponents with the highest winning percentage in the country. If I can ever find it again I'll come back to this thread. Again, I'm an analytical nut. I research the facts and go where they take me. WVU plays 14 games against Top 25 teams and the points total in those 14 games was only minus 10 by WVU. Surely you can't knock THAT?

Make that 11 games and finished 5-6. Vs teams that finished ranked in the final poll. You can’t count a team ranked in December (Richmond) that tanked during the season.

We are going to find out..

Big 12 could have overinflated seeds

WVU had two marquee OOC games
Vs Gonzaga. Gonzaga took it over. Looked like a cat and a mouse

Vs Florida. WVU didn't look like a #3 seed.

That is being pessimistic.

I think the chance is better for the B1G to be overrated than the Big 12.

Baylor vs Illinois looked like a heavyweight vs a middleweight

Illinois played their asses off and Baylor took over that game in 2-3 minutes and won by double digits

I used the national rankings AFTER the end of the regular season. I'll go over my numbers again. I do not make things up although that's a common practice on this board. I do hours of research before I post many times. I'll research my figures again. It's more than 11 games, I'm sure. Well, after I look it up, I'll get back to you about how many games. Wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong, and I admit it when I am. Stay tuned while I research.

CFE would give Grantland Rice and Dan Jenkins are run for their money.

MAYBE DAN JENKINS BUT GRANTLAND RICE IS ABOVE MY PAY GRADE. AFTER ALL, MY LIFE-LONG FRIENDSHIP WITH MICKEY FURFARI, WHO EXCHANGED PHONE CALLS WITH ME EVERY MONTH TILL HE PASSED AWAY AND WHO WAS MY MENTOR WHEN I WORKED 40 HOURS AT THE DOMINION-NEWS WHILE TAKING 19 CREDIT HOURS AT WVU SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM, GETS MORE CREDIT THAN I DO. MICKEY WAS SUCH AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING WITH NO SUPER EGO DESPITE BEING A LEGEND LIKE JACK FLEMING. BOB HUGGINS IS AMAZING, TOO. AS HE SAID IN HIS NOTE TO ME, "I ALWAYS DEFEND MY PLAYERS BUT I'M HONEST WITH THEM." THAT'S WHY HUGGINS HEROES SEE BOB AS THEIR HERO. NOW, LET'S TAKE DOWN MOREHEAD STATE AND THE SAN DIEGO STATE-SYRACUSE WINNER ... JUST FOR OPENERS!

Just read where Morehead State turns it over on 23.5% of their possessions, and is 332nd in the country in that category.
