Listening to the media tonight after todays games, they(ESPN) are so biased towards big name schools. I know it's be discussed over and over but its so frustrating.

Oklahoma being talked about making the playoff is ridiculous while we get dogged. We basically have the same schedule in terms of losses( Houston, Clemson vs Ohio St), wins and strength of schedule. We have a better win currently and a better lose.

Not that I have any illusions of us making the playoff, just frustrating. Hoping we take care of UK, Lamar has 400+ yards and about 5 td's and brings home the Heisman and a New Years day bowl victory.

Go Cards!!

Actually our two losses are true road games, OU lost to Houston on a neutral, and at home to OSU.

Well, it's not just the number of losses but when they occurred. The perception is we are digressing while OU is improving which is what you want heading into bowl season.

.....but we deserve all of the criticism after that performance Thursday.

Yes we do deserve criticism but to dance on our grave is a little bit over the top. But WTH I guess we should expect that being a new comer to the party. Maybe next year we'll get more respect. I wonder if those same talking asshats will disrespect WVU not only for their horrible loss (at home) but their terrible sportsmanship on the field.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

The football Gods have spoken. We're not worthy of playoff talk any longer and Petrino said it best. We blew it.

Now we'll have to settle for a New Years Day Orange Bowl appearance as long as Clemson wins the ACC championship game, and the Cards beat UofK. Oh the horror! LOL.

If you would have said before the season started that we would go from 7-5 to a new years day bowl I don't think too many people would have been upset. It sucks knowing what could have been but overall cant complain.

WVU was getting less respect then we were. We're building our resume and one day will be accepted; takes time. Lets stomp UK and stomp the Sh$$ out of whichever Big 10 team we get and make a statement. That's my goal at this point hope it's the teams too!

The reason you are frustrated is you don't understand the process. The reason Oklahoma is being mentioned as a possible playoff team is that they can still win their conference. It has been repeated ad nauseam that the committee will give the nod to a conference champion when evaluating comparable teams. Kirby Hocutt has stated multiple times that teams 2 through ~8 are extremely close. Therefore, if Oklahoma has a conference championship, and a team like Louisville or Michigan doesn't, then Oklahoma would get the nod. What the pundits are evaluating (correctly) is that since Louisville won't have a conference championship, they go in with an automatic disadvantage against the other schools.
