I have several friends from college in the Bahamas. Seemingly all of yesterday I was yelling at Dorian to TURN NORTHEAST and leave my buddies alone. There's no two ways about it, Dorian is a jerk! I do believe my fellow Floridians are ready though.

For those of us not in harms way feel blessed and grateful and remember those whose lives gonna change because of Dorian. If needed may we all be Christ like and be charitable and have compassion because all of us may need it someday. OFC

We are right smack in palm beach county on the coast....very fortunate it turned north. Be prepared and don’t wait til the last minute....it’s a big storm.

Gotta check on my property in the Georgia swamp tomorrow. See how many trees I have to cut up and split when I get back there in November. My Arlo cameras are showing moderate winds right now, but the worst is supposedly yet to come.

Prayers going out to all those in the path of this storm, I know Show lives down there, so been thinking of he and his family. My brother in law is a utility lineman and has been sent to New Bern, so I've been worried about him, he said a lot of tornadoes have been around.

Dorian passed thru here Saturday night,lots of rain,a few downed trees,pool full of leaves,still no power,came ashore as a Cat.2 but quickly faded,all in all was not too bad.Not like Juan back in 2003..that storm was a beast!

I'm in Nova Scotia,we took a direct hit,came ashore as a Cat 2,but downgraded quite quickly,our population is around one million,with half living right in the Halifax metro area.At the peak there were 400,000 people with out power,but now 5 days later it's under 50,000.Thousands of downed trees are the biggest problem,but hydro crews from across Canada,and some from the States are making great headway.Should be back to normal by this weekend.Thanks for your concern!
