Gonzaga should be the new number 1 come Monday and i think they’ll stay at that spot for quite a while.
We'll see. People say that about Gonzaga every year when they get a 1 and someone punches them in the mouth in conference play.
That win over Kansas might be enough to make Jay Wright the best coach in the last decade. 
This version of the Zags isn’t as talented as some of their recent teams. Now, I don’t know a lot about their conference this year and whether or not any teams are tournament-caliber, either. I’d think there’s a better chance they lose a conference game this season....but we’ll see.
I know anyone can lose any game.. but Gonzaga doesn’t have any top 25 games remaining on their schedule..
Only 9 of their 17 remaining games are against teams that have a record above .500 - and it’s safe to say any team below .500 at this point (since conference play hasn’t really started) is a pretty bad team..
17 of Duke’s remaining 19 games are against teams that are above .500 — the 2 teams we play that aren’t above .500 are 5-5 and 4-5..
I don’t really care about #1 ranking too much, but it sucks that a team like Gonzaga can end the season as the top team even though they will be playing a much weaker schedule than the other top 4 teams.
Guess you can say they are lucky it's not the football schedule. They would surely drop out of the top 5 with that schedule.
Gonzaga doesn’t impress me. Let them have it all season. I don’t want our guys having any bigger target on their backs than they already have.
