The lesson in post #1 could be learned across a variety of Government run and fiscally mismanaged boondoggles. We are currently witnessing one with the development of this so called "vaccine" against the dreaded Covid killer virus. By simply streamlining the R & D process and allowing private competition, we are speeding towards a workable solution..albeit a questionable one...at far less cost and with much more efficiency than if we allowed the normal cantankerous Government processes to control this research and development.

Apply that same principle to education, energy, health care delivery services, telecommunications, mail delivery, and a variety of other services that once Government controls and/or restrictions are removed, quality goes up and costs rapidly de-escalate.

This is a teachable moment for those who appear ready to sign all of our free market innovation and expertise over to big Government Leftist Socialists like the Obama folks who clearly had no clue about rocket launches.

Congrats to Elon Musk and free market Capitalism.
