Was sacked 3 or 4 times.

The Swamp is a tough environment and a green, inexperienced QB making his first road start there would've had a very difficult time.

Regardless, it's not the fact he completed more passes to Florida players than he did to Kentucky players, it's the fact that he did not go through any progressions that bothers me. Re-watching the game, I do not see Drew look at secondary receivers or make smart decisions like throw the ball away. On 2 of the 3 INTs, he made terrible mistakes like throwing the ball into traffic and not reading the defender on the screen.

Where are the supposed improvements that Gran and Hinshaw brought to the table? I know it's only Drew's 4th start, but he is in his 3rd year of college ball. Last week's 4 TDs were done via talent alone. This week I saw no evidence of Drew being coached up. Forced throws, mistakes, bad reads, no progressions, etc.

We still have to face tough defenses from UGA, Tennessee, Bama, Vandy, and to a lesser extend Mizzou and South Carolina (those last three have no offenses).

He was feeling pressure the second the ball was snapped. He should have done BETTER, but better would probably have been 4-10 for 40 yards and 1 INT.

I know receivers quit on Pat last year. Does anyone think they and the OL are quitting on Drew for some reason

Facepalm. I think UK fans consider any 2nd string QB to be a savior. When we were running Towles out of Lexington, Drew Barker had proven absolutely nothing. All he had was the vocal support of the 2014 recruiting class.

Yeah, funny thing is no one realized that coming out of HS Towles had as many accolades as Barker...I never got why people assumed Barker was like Peyton Manning or something.

Ouch..guess it wasn't Dawson, Towles, Neal Brown after all? Surely not. He's a four star. Four star=automatic success, doesn't it?

To some people Towles was just a Joker recruit. Barker was a Stoops guy and the pied piper of the 2014 class.

I fear that when we look back at both Pat and Drew, we will think of them in the same way: "THAT guy's recruit."

If that's not the worst stat line in history it has to be close. That's only 10 more passing yards than I had tonight. Jesus that's not even a good offensive possession let alone a game.

Even Morgan Newton had better stats against Florida than that and we know how horrible he was. Since Mike Hartline left qb play has been embarrassingly bad other than a few exceptions.

One thing that didn't help Drew's case is that, after having given a historically bad performance and being pulled from the game, he sat there smirking on the sideline.

Is that how you act after making a five foot high steaming pile all over the football field? You can't play much worse than he did today.

Vandy scored big points on Mid Tenn. Beat us last year. No reason to think they won't again.

Patrick probably enjoyed a good chuckle looking at Drews stat line tonight
It was probably more like this:

After so many bad decisions he had to be pulled. Yes the 3 INTs were bad but what about the play right before our missed FG where he had 2 open receivers and threw to no one? A Junior Varsity HS QB can make that play. That is something that Gran and Hinshaw don't need to teach him. He's got single coverage on two guys, just pick one and rifle it in.

Over the last 6 quarters of football Drew Barker has had:

4 INTs, 2 fumbles, countless head scratching plays.

For the year: 4 TDs, 4 INTs, 2 fumbles= 4 TDs 6 Turnovers

For his career: 5 TDs, 6 INTs, 2 fumbles= 5 TDs, 8 Turnovers

He simply needs to start performing. Not sure Towles' numbers were ever that bad.
