I got the idea for this thread after seeing a thread from a new poster. What is Duke’s record in games that you’ve been to? I’ve only been to one Duke game and we won so Duke is 1-0 in games that I’ve been to. We played UNCG on December 29th 2010 and it was the game where Coach K passed Dean Smith for #2 on the all time wins list.

They've lost twice in games that I've been to. First one was at home to Maryland in 2005. The other one was last March in Omaha against Kansas.

Off the top of my head there's around 16 or 17 games they've won where I've been in attendance, but I feel as though I'm probably leaving some out.

Since 1996(out of school) personal record is 38-7. Counted this up with my bother few months ago over some beverages. Mostly MSG, CIS, Gboro & Charlotte. Plan on adding to this with ACCT next month.

I was at this game too.
Brings back good memories! Being able to see K past Dean in wins was a great experience to be at.

3-2. Saw them twice in 2015. When Duke came to Louisville and watched them cut the nets down in Indy! I saw them in 2016 at Louisville, in which they lost. I saw them in 2017. They lost at Louisville that year also. Then just last Tuesday, I was at the Louisville, Duke game. I was sitting there then thinking Duke might lose, but then came the comeback with the Duke victory!!

I just realized that the game that I went to when Coach K passed Dean Smith for second on the all time wins list was 4 games after Kyrie Irving got injured and missed the rest of the regular season.

6-0.

72-69 v. Illinois at the United Center in November ‘99.
3-0 at 2001 Maui Invitational
2-0 at 2010 CBE Classic

Modest, but very encouraging streak.

Great thread!

I used to frame all my tickets from my 1st game in 2002 at Greensboro Coliseum to my 1st game at Cameron Indoor in 2003. Over the years I have lost count of the games I have been to... especially (since the 2013 season.. I make around 4-8 games a season either as a fan or working).

However, I do remember the losses they are...

I am undefeated in games at Cameron! :)

2005 or 2006 (can't remember) away at VT when Redick was playing.. that fan base was so brutal to him. With Roanoke being 20 miles away from Blacksburg... it wasn't any surprise how the fanbase was going to be..
2011 at VT when we thought Kyrie might come back from injury that game to play but didn't. VT got the upset..
2014 - the away Wake Forest game when K got dizzy on the court and I think it was Wojo that did the presser.
At UNC I believe 2014 when the snow storm happened and the game got rescheduled.
At VT new Years Eve 2016.. VT got the upset and something just didn't feel right in the presser with K. A few days later K went out for surgery.

So I have seen 5 losses... but I have been to at minimum 50 games... so I guess

50+ and 5 is my record :)

0-1. The only game I've ever seen in person was in the early 70's. Bobby Jones years. Bucky Waters years. They beat us but it was close. OFC

Really good. I went to every home game in the 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 seasons. They never lost when I went to see the in the Meadowlands/NYC, so that's another half dozen I think.

I misread the thread. I was thinking of Duke/unc cheater u games attended. Then I thought how in the world did some of these guys get to go to so many Duke/cheater games. Senior moment. Been to quite a few Duke games. Have no idea but a bunch of wins and few losses. OFC

Don’t feel bad. I have plenty of senior moments myself. When talking about the one game that I’ve been to there have been times that I’ve told people that it was the game where Coach K tied Dean Smith for second on the all time wins list but Coach K actually passed Dean Smith for second on the all time wins list with the win in that game.

I’ve seen Duke play in person 16 times total, wish I could say I’ve never seen them lose but it’s happened twice. ‘02 NCAA tourney I saw IU beat them, ‘13 I saw Louisville knock them out too. (Yeah - the game Kevin Ware broke his leg.) 14-2 is pretty lucky though considering every game I’ve seen has either been a conference or NCAA tournament game, no cupcakes. I also saw them win it all in ‘10 and ‘15.

Aside from seeing them play games in person, I’ll tell you what was pretty damn cool — In 2010 that Friday before the Saturday / Monday final 4 games, there was an open practice (1 hr per team.) Free, no assigned seats. Sit where’s available. Duke was the last practice. Being that it was Indianapolis, Butler is the local school and MSU had a lot of fans too. Once they practiced, Lucas Oil nearly cleared. I moved way up and watched Duke practice from the FRONT ROW. Being close enough to actually hear all their voices and chatter authentically rather than via TV or microphone is pretty sweet.

Dude... It’s literally scary how many of the same games we have both seen live. I’ve been to 7 of the 12 games you’ve seen. I live in Indiana, I assume you do too? (Or neighboring state?)

One thing that I still remember about that game is Miles Plumlee threw down a nasty reverse dunk at the end of the first half and I had tons of people high fiving me as they walked passed me on their way to concessions and/or to the restrooms. I still have a picture saved on my phone that I took of the court during the game.

3-0. Saw Duke for the first time live in 2010 in Houston (beat Purdue and Baylor). Saw them in 2015 in Houston (beat Gonzaga). I always joke with my wife that we always when the championship when I see them play. And yes, I plan on flying to the championship game if we make it. You're welcome, place your bets.

The one game that I’ve been to was during Kyrie’s season but it was 4 games after he suffered the injury that caused him to miss the regular season.

Undefeated. Probably 10-0. I’ve seen 5 in Cameron..all early season blowouts. One was Michigan in 1998.

Seen at least 5 in NCAAA/ACCT games. Saw them win ACCT in Clt vs Nc State and in 2010 in Gaborone vs GaTech. Also, seen a few first round or second round blowouts. Never a loss though

1-2.

At Ohio State in 2011 i believe.
Louisville elite 8 Kevin Ware game.
Lost both 85-63 and neither was that close.

I live in Ohio and they don’t come around often. I wanted so bad to go watch them play for the national title in Indy in 2015. But as stupid as it sounds I felt like I’d jinx them because they always got blown out when I went and watched them live. I’d rather watch them win it from my recliner then watch them get blown out in Indy.

But thank god for my mom who told me I was insane for not going. How I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. So me and my buddy bought tickets the morning of and went to Indy that Monday night. I’m single, have no kids, have a great job and own a house. But I can honestly say that was the best night of my life. I had happy tears in my eyes as time winded down. I’ve never felt that way about anything before lol get goosebumps just thinking about it. What a blessing that day was!
