It’s not like losing Flagg or Kon the Nipple but Brown looks like he may be done for awhile and he is their best defender by far. Dislocated shoulder.

Ouch. I guess we’re not the only cursed team. He’s a valuable role player for them.
I did not know that. I will say Brown caused a lot of issues for teams on defense so we will see how it affects them. I doubt Patrick will be in peak game shape.
Duke does seem to get bit by the injury bug pretty bad.
But when they lose another 30 to 40% of their top8 players, then I might feel bad.

Pat and the 7'2" guy can hold their own in easy matchups, and they still provide enough "size" to avoid being a complete liability against stronger opponents.
However, if they lose some combinations like Kon, proctor, and Foster—just like we lost Butler, Jax, and Kerr—they’re done in this season.

I think we have been far more cursed since we have had 4 significant injuries. Take out 3 starters and their first player from the bench and we will call it even.

I think Duke will have problems in the tournament with really good, quick guards who can score.

If you have watched them this year it is on the defensive end. He is a great defender.
True, but I think he is less important than at least kon, proctor and Flagg in this team. If one of these three hurt and can not play in tournament, duke is done. But still think duke could make deep run without brown
Of course, I said that in my OP. Nothing compared to us, but It will probably hurt them going forward with depth and he was a great defender that covered a lot for them.

No resistance in the ACC. I think they roll Clemson on a neutral court .
UConn and Duke are the two teams I really don't want to win it all this year. I'm no longer worried about UConn (they need to make the tournament first), but Duke might still be the favorite in my eyes. I don’t think these freshmen led teams can win championships anymore with the way CBB has gotten older, the possible exception being years where there's a transcendent talent (AD, Flagg, etc). If we can get through this season then I believe Scheyer will prove to be a good-not-great coach and Duke will slump a bit.
Feeling bad for Duke is beyond my limits of compassion, both them and UNC deserve any and every bad break they get

Not that I wish injury on anyone.. but they'd need to have entire teams go down with injury for it to make up all the things each school was given over the last 20 years.
Duke will be a tough out in the NCAA tourney. It wouldn't surprise me if Flagg sets the record for FT attempts in an NCAA tourney. It will be hard to watch him jumping and spinning into walled up defenders and getting call after call.
Cry me a freaking river. I have absolutely no sympathy for any team that has injuries with the curse we’ve suffered through for years.
