I believe the record is 27-12 or about a 70 percent winning percentage for the Devils.
It will be even higher once the Cheayers have some wins vacated.
Glad we have UVA, Louisville and Notre Dame to play.

Since 1999 , Duke leads 27-13. Duke's won 10 of the last 13. Duke's won 11 of the last 17 AT unx. Yes , it's a "rivalry" an' all but for the last 16 years it's been one-sided like a mofo. Hole fans will bring up all time records and , yeah , those numbers count too. But if ya wanna talk "relevance" Duke flat-out owns unx. Is what it is.

We've had a pretty significant edge over the past six years, but the five years prior to that they pretty much dominated us. It goes in streaks....I'm just enjoying the way it's currently going.

I've always argued that Duke/UNC is a pendulum, but I'm starting to believe that their cheating ways are catching up to them.

Karma is a ***** like that.

Attended Duke @ UNC last season and when they won the celebration clearly showed how they feel like the underdog b/c of Duke dominance in the series.

I keep hearing that the tarholes are going to come out of all this smelling like a rose. That it was too late now to really hammer them. Anyone else heard this. By the way, congrats to the team. I remember going to Duke games when you could buy tickets right up to game time. Have lived in NC most of my life and have always been a fan of Duke BB. Also, worked for a newspaper in NC for 44 years and covered many games , including many acc tourneys. Have never liked the tarholes and hope they really get hammered.

I think this ignores basically 2005 to 2009, when UNC really had the upper hand (and won two titles). Lets also be honest that 2009 was a low point with UNC winning the title and having won the Harrison Barnes sweepstakes. But everything changed in 2010. UNC never stays down for long so we should enjoy it while we can.

The Holes are going to be very good next season, and we'll have a few ?'s going into the Fall. I'm going to refrain from kicking them from our throne for now.

It s the ebb and flow of the rivalry. It's funny how it seems like one school is motivated by the other's success. Duke wins 91 and 92 UNC wins 93. Duke makes it back in 94 but Arkansas breaks the streak. I was living in Montana at the time and really learned how much I loved and was proud of the ACC. UNC wins 2005, Duke gets 06. Even lesser rivals try to keep up see NC State 83 title after UNC 82 and maryland 02 vs Duke 01. I smell an ACC title next year and would have to say UNC is my favorite to bring it home. The poster above remembers after the 09 title and the Barnes coup how UNC felt they were on top and Duke and K were on a slow decent into mediocrity . I also remember UNC AND Duke fans alike attributed a lot of K's "drop off" to USA basketball. Boy was that line of thinking wrong!! Look at tyus, jahs and winslow's connection to USA basketball.......do you not think that has helped? Not trying to claim any foul play.......k is well within the rules and taking advantage of this situation. Between his exposure as the gold medal winner, the positive press top players in the world give him and access to players, I'd argue now that USA basketball has kept K on top and helped move him to a new level. Now with all that said, it's obvious the rivalry is stronger than ever........UNC fans are over here to see what you are saying and many if you are on our site to see what we are saying. Here's to the next 15 years!!!!!!

Exactly my thoughts. Be prepared for that pendulum to swing back quickly. History has shown that when one of Duke/UNC rises, the other quickly follows suit. I think Vegas is already picking UNC as one of the favorites next year, due to the depth of talent and the experience that will be returning. Depending who's on Duke's team, I could see us losing both games next year. I sure hope not, but I expect Carolina will be hungrier than we will be next year.

Look...I haven't read all these posts but let's either tell the truth or drop it. Any success unx has enjoyed vs Duke ( or anyone else for that matter ) has been predicated on the most egregious case of academic/athletic fraud in the history of the NCAA. Getting caught for it is at least partially responsible for the current dominance Duke enjoys. This business about "ebbs and flows" had relevance prior to 2010. We'll see if that continues to be the case now that people are paying attention to how unx recruits , admits , keeps eligible and graduates their "student-athletes."

They'll be better than us but how they're hungrier than our guys is beyond me. If it is because we won and they did not? Or is it because they haven't won anything with this group? Not sure, but our guys are going to be hungry as all get up b/c of the very nature of the guys that will be on this team, unless you didnt' watch.
