Considering that school is out, I would like to see the team play at least four games in a week. I know that it won't happen, but playing wake and State home and away would limit the number of contacts and get the team back on track for games played.

I was surprised to see that UNC is favored by 10 against Notre Dame with a total of 146. I think UNC should be favored by 7 with a total of 138. Notre Dame is playing at a slow pace and UNC hasn't scored 80 in a game this season

Was just coming on the post game day thread and saw the ESPN alert on my phone.

It’s going to be a long season.

Also remember, the minimum amount of games required to get an invite to the NCAA Tournament is 13 (this season). We currently have 17 games remaining on the schedule.
We’ll see if they make adjustments or not.

The committee is going to have a tough job this year (if the tourney happens). How do you evaluate and seed, say, a mid teir SEC team that's played 32 games vs Duke that's maybe played 20?

Was kind of expecting it. Somebody somewhere is going to have to make a decision about how this season for all teams is going to play out. It needs to be made soon. Either a 6 week pause or cancel the season. OFC

If we don't get to 13 it don't matter we will still get in...they will change the rule for blue bloods...just ask Ohio St in football

And it’s funny, ALL of our cancellations have been because of our opponent and not us. Duke hasn’t had an issue with COVID; other teams have.

That is true and very important to mention. The only other ACC game between ranked teams today, VT @ UVA, was cancelled today due to positives in the UVA program. This is the 4th game UVA has cancelled because of positives in their program.

I am just trying to keep perspective. I don't want to have any frustrations that are motivated simply by my desire to watch Duke hoops come hell or high water. This is all temporary and their safety is much more important than anything.

If Duke decides shutting down is best for the Duke program and others play on, so be it. Right now, all I care about is the short and long term health of our players and staff.
Dont get me wrong, this sucks and I hate that so many of our games have been canceled. It's just that a canceled game is so, so much easier for me to stomach than any member of our team or staff getting sick.

Over it, just cancel the season
The problem is you might as well cancel the next 2-3 seasons as well. The media and politicians on both sides will continue to push this all day, every day, to usher in a slow release of air from our financial mess we are in.....

Someone gets the sniffles and you want to shut society down for a year. Classic
You are spot on on here. The comedy of this?

Influenza and colds are "down" since people are wearing masks and social distancing.

Covid 19 is "up" because people are not wearing masks and not social distancing.

It is mostly luck at this point - this "deadly" virus spreads whether we like it or not.

If you don’t believe this virus is deadly, I have 3 dead friends that would like a word with you
It’s not deadly for young athletes that’s the point I worry about my parents not 20year olds Wake up

I wish there were some place I could go online where there weren't people thinking a virus that's killed nearly 2 million people isn't deadly.
At DBR, the discussion has been sane and filled with posts from doctors or others from the research/medical profession who pretty much all agree that this pandemic is real. They also provide really interesting insight on the issues in research, statistics etc. Its is their non basketball page and is a free site. It is a breath of fresh air.
