I'm BACK DI and I apologize for the long layoff (well, not really. THE CUBS WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Following the greatest fall of my life, we head into college basketball season with a HUGE opportunity lying in front of us. There are certainly several things that could get in our way this season, injuries appearing to be the biggest, but on paper, this Duke team is incredible and the odds-on favorite to win its third national championship in the last three years. We have a chance to leave a legacy on Duke basketball this year as one of the greatest to put on a uniform...

But that's HIGH praise for a team that hasn't taken a regular season shot so let's start with game one, tonight against.

Even without Giles tonight, we won't have much trouble with Marist. Good to hear Tatum will be back in action after the foot injury at pro day. I'm excited to see the young and the old come together on this years squad.

All-in-all college basketball is back and opening night is one we all look forward to all year! The possibility of Duke AND the Cubs winning championships in the same year is almost too much to handle. So let's go get game one!

Unfortunately neither tonight or tomorrow's games are on national television. You can find both of them on ESPN3 or on the ACC network if you're lucky enough to live in the market. Tip is slated for 7pm est.

Can't wait to see Giles and Bolden in game action, but that wait is going to continue for awhile. Hopefully we at least see Tatum tonight. Any starters predictions? Does Duke, without the aforementioned two guys, go small with Tatum at the de facto 4, or does Jeter get the nod? I think the first option:

I would say that's about right. K will go with his veterans tonight, along with Tatum, IMO.

I will be there...pumped too...didn't make it to any games last year...I usually try to catch them somewhere if I can't get to Cameron. Schedules didn't fit up last year

Random question. Has Duke adopted the Nike hyper elite jersey that was introduced a couple of years ago as their traditional home jersey now? I see them wearing that Jersey quite a bit more than I do the white jersey with Duke in blue written on it. Just curious.

I'm not for sure, but I think our uni set is a slight variation of the hyper elite line from a couple years back.
