Big road game today before we enter the final week of the regular season. Pitt has been very unpredictable the entire year so not really sure what you're going to get.

However, I like the way we're playing. I think we're road warriors today and grab a well-fought win.

Game is slated for a 2pm est tip and will air on CBS HD.

Going to have to miss this one... I think Pitt tries to come out physical especially with Grayson and Ingram to get them off their game. I see DT and Jeter getting better and better this game!

Duke - 70
Pitt - 58

Grayson will take a beating today. He'll get very few calls. I think the physicality from our opponents will ramp up due to prior incidents. Our kids are gonna have to get tougher and learn to play through contact, especially Ingram. I think the refs will be way harder on Grayson now and yes he brought some of that on himself. However, I think the end result may be a good one as tourney play will become more physical anyway. I hope we pull this one out but we'll have to do it in strong fashion, the odds will be against us for sure.

I just want a win, don't care if it's by just 1 point. Just hope DT continues to grow and play the good defense he has been playing the last 10 games and need Luke to give us a spark again

And I hope Grayson goes off today and please don't trip anyone lol

I think Pitt is going to hand us a loss. They pass the rock well and make teams chase. I think we'll get worn down by their style and give in at some point.

Duke 71
Pitt 82

Let's kick their butts though.

We need this badly! With all the attention payed to Grayson & Brandon, I think it will be Luke's time to shine! Duke by 10!!!

I don't know, Show... I think the one known thing is that they will be watching Grayson more closely. That means they're also much more likely to see all the abuse he absorbs, too, so unless an overly dramatic head flop or something dumb and chippy on his part gets the drop on it, we might see more calls breaking our way instead. It's on the road, so it could be a longshot, but maybe, just maybe...
Just hope DT continues to grow and play the good defense he has been playing the last 10 games...
Yeah, I don't think I've specifically commented on Derryck since the storyline was "2 steps forward 1 step back." He is showing more and more of the flashes of brilliance that have been there since the beginning, far fewer of the couch-punching idiotic plays, and in between, much, much steadier, consistent play. He is growing up in a hurry and I'll only shed one tiny little sympathetic tear for him that that has been overshadowed by Brandon and Luke's growth curve.
I think Pitt is going to hand us a loss...
Would this be the first time since their BE victory over us in MSG, '08? The birth of rosh's "We need a banger" obsession?

I agree, Show, the spotlight is on Grayson, and he needs to keep his emotions in check more with the added scrutiny. We know Pitt will go after Grayson since the tripping incidents, but that also means there will be additional attention on the players guarding him also. Would be funny if the strategy backfired on them, and a few more calls go against the opposing players. Will be interesting to see what happens in regards to how the fouls are called for and against him.

EDIT! Ha...Dat...didn't see your post....looks like we have similar hopes about the fouling prospects!

Another big game, and Pitt is no pushover. They are very physical, but if we can spread them out, drive the lane and create havoc, I like our chances, but we must stay out of foul trouble, stay injury free, and I also think Chase could really take another step forward in his progress today! I really like when Chase is on the floor with Marshall. These things happen, and Duke will find a way.
Go Duke!!

Lets just hope Jamie Dixon can fight the urge better than to coach at half court like last time we were at Pitt....

I just want a win today and a loss for Miami at Notre Dame on Wednesday. Then we beat Wake and sweep the Holes next Saturday for an ACC regular season championship. How Sweet would that be?!

I think we win this one as well. I also think that it's a little overstated about how Pitt is a tough place to play. They are 15-11 @ home since joining the ACC.

Definitely not the best way to start off. The whole team needs to wake up. Maybe Kennard will be able to snap them out of this funk.

Hang in there guys, Pitt cannot shoot at that rate for the whole game, and if they do, nobody could beat them. I'm not seeing the fire in the eyes of the Duke team yet, hopefully they will settle in and gather their energy.
Go Duke!!
