Wow!!! We're here - FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm prepping for tomorrow by watching both the FF and National Championship game! I bet over the summer/offseason I've watched the entire tournament run (yes, even the first round win over Robert Morris) 10 times. The whole run is still on my DVR. I can't get enough!!!

But on to 2015-2016. Tonight's game in the 2k Classic caps an off season of change. We lost our core from last years team and we lost our heart and soul in Quinn. That brings several questions into tonight's game. Who will rise up as our leader? Who will be our "go to" in the clutch? Will be able to consistently score in the paint?

We will start to answer those questions tonight as the Dukies host Siena at 7pm est on ESPNU.

I think we will win fairly easily but I also think it won't be a complete blow out. This young team will get tested early in the season as it finds its chemistry.

What a great day, when Duke basketball returns!

Duke has a ton of question marks, as far as new personnel and new roles, but they also have a ton of talent. Siena is upperclassmen-heavy it seems. Duke wins, but it won't be a 40+ point walk-through.

Watched Utah, Gonzaga & Wisconsin games last night plus last 5 mins of Butler, I'm raring to go! Love this time of year with college hoops galore, college football, NFL & NBA. If only my Mets had won the World Series.

Duke - 88
Siena - 67

Can't wait to see Amile, Grayson, Marshall & MJ step into leadership roles.

As always, the greatest day of the year is upon us. Defending national champions will be said over and over in every game this year and will drive Carolina and Kentucky fans insane. Let the games begin.

Siena has a pretty decent team that's picked to finish second in their conference. They're also really big up front. I don't see this being a 40-point blowout, but I do think we win by around 20....it just might not always be pretty.

The only thing that will keep this maybe within 20 pts., will be the possibility of using different combinations of players during the game. These guys are just starting to get used to playing together, so it will take some time to jell.
Duke wins big and really stokes the fire of the fans!! A sample of what is to come!!
Go Duke!!

This will be good to see how this uptempo team will play as The Saints will try and slow things down. Duke big win with a slow start.

I personally want to see this defense in action against a D1 squad. The zone should force some turnover on this big-heavy team.

I am really hoping to see some vicious defense. With the experience of Amile and Jones, the tenacity of Allen and Thornton, the toughness of Plumlee and Obi, the depth on the perimeter, and the overall length and athleticism, I hope this team strives to play like UNLV of the mid 80's and or Arkansas of the mid 90's. I am hoping for pressing, trapping leading to turnovers and runnouts. D like this makes it much easier on the O and will give this young team the time and confidence to figure things out in the half court. Can't wait.
