***DUKE VS UTAH OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD***

A rematch of the Sweet 16 game from last year's NCAA tournament - probably our poorest showing of the entire tourney last year. We all know, however, it's an entirely different season from last year. Not a single player that started that game will be starting this one.

It won't be easy for us today. Jakob Poeltl is a load for Utah and can really do it all. Predicted by many as a lottery pick, Poeltl is good on the block with his back to the basket and can step out and hit the three. Without Amile he will really pose a threat for us and a lot of this game could depend on if Marshall stays out of foul trouble or not.

I like our chances still. Cameron Indoor North is always a fun play to play at Christmas time and being the last game before Christmas, our guys will be ready.

Today's game is slated for a 12pm est tip and will air on ESPNHD.

Matt Jones started, but your point is definitely on the money. Hugely different team taking the floor today than the one in Houston in March. This is the first big test without Amile.

I think we'll win, but I expect Utah to try and muck it up again.

Traveling home for the holidays, so I've stopped at a BW's for lunch and to watch the game. Scared without Amile in a real test. Duke should win but I think it's a white knuckle affair.

K just told Bob Harris -
Grayson has "flu-like symptoms last 36 hrs." They will keep eye on him in warm-ups...Talk about adversity....

Some good minutes here from Chase.

I don't think it's as much Marshall as we think. The backside has to rotate. But he did screw up not getting back on defense.

Grayson can't be feeling well considering he was out for about six or seven minutes this early.

We look really flat, no flow on the offensive end. Need Brandon to play well against good competition.

This doesn't look good. We miss Amile. Defensively and rebounding wise. We basically have to be the Warriors on offense to win until he gets back.

With Amile out and Grayson limited, we're relying on guys like Plumlee, Chase and Thornton to make plays. We might drop this one unless some role players become catalysts. Thornton needs to get to the cup. Chase needs to stop looking like an 18 year old.

Chase just isn't ready yet. It's no surprise that his minutes have been very limited to this point of the season.

As long as we get better... This is valuable PT for Chase and Luke. Hopefully we can lock down on defense and Ingram saves us. Thornton can drive on these guys, but there's no one to pass to on the inside. Plum and Chase aren't Amile.

No Jefferson + a clearly sick Allen = ugly for Duke.

They are within 3 at the half. Should be down by quite a bit more. Here's to a better second half.
