Wow! Ok so Jayson Tatum.

I mean there's so much to say, but the main thing is how great it has been to see this team show the ability to win ugly. That's two games back to back that they've shown that.

Great facilitating night by Luke. That cannot be understated. Obviously there was a certain game plan, it actually looked very similar to the 2014-15 game plan against UVA, skip passes and kick outs from penetration. I would have liked to see the guys take advantage of the high pick and roll more, but whatever, the game was won on D.

So now, Duke can really drive towards a strong finish in the league. It won't be easy, but there's a chance.

After this game, the big question for the night is:

Do you feel better about this Duke team than you did about a month ago?

Typical Duke-UVA game. Points were hard to come by like they always are, pace was slow. But you know what? I felt comfortable this entire game. A month ago there is no way I'd be saying that.

I felt the same way. Even when they would tie or take the lead, I felt like we always had the game in hand.

Sure, we're getting better every game. But this team has been making baby steps for awhile. The adversity this team has been through is legendary. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger...and I think we're seeing the results of that now.

Who would have thought as poor as Allen and Kennard shot the ball that Duke would still win? That shows us all how good Duke is. Great game by Tatum and solid team defense. Remember the 2 rules for Duke success:
1--Be Duke
2--See #1

PS: Hey Lunardi, grab your eraser, it's in your pocket protector

Very good win. Something to be said for a squad that can grind out an ugly W like this. Keep fighting, one game at a time! So much season left, so much time to improve! Big things ahead.

I will say this, I'm saying it's a great win because of what I saw out of Duke, not because we beat Va, they simply aren't very impressive. Great to beat them at home etc, but that team isn't going anywhere.

The thing I may be happiest about is our FT shooting. We've been lights out. Those are important down the stretch and in the tourney.

Thank God the coaches COACHED Tatum through his mistakes and allowed him to grow right before our eyes. Tatum clearly gets it now. He is letting the game come to him. Great job young man!

His shots are just so much better, because as you mentioned, he's performing within the system. He has matured so much in a few weeks really and you can see it all around. He even looks like he's enjoying his teammates again. You couldn't say that on January 15.

There's a buy in happening and it's beautiful to watch. The thing I loved about tonight was that Duke didn't just out-talent UVA, they really out-teamed them. And UVA is the epitome of team. With the talent Duke exudes, coupled with the ability to function as one unit, this team has scary potential.

We are really getting better especially on defense. The FROSH are getting better so that helps a lot!

I still one big concern for this team but... I won't start that tonight

Very proud of how the team fought and got the win tonight.

I agree. This is definitely not one of Tony Bennett's most talented squads. UVA is always offensively challenged, but this team seems even more so. But a win on the road in the ACC is like striking gold this year. The stats are jarring!

When we win by 10 in a slow down uva game I consider that dominate. And to think two of our best players and leaders played like crap and we still won just tells you how far we've come and how we might be seeing what this team was supposed to be.

My favorite moment of the night was Grayson has it with about eight seconds left, normally this is his time but recognizes that it's Tatums night- passes to him and says go get it. Tatum drills a dagger three in an eerily similar spot to where tyus hit the dagger, uva calls time and all the Duke players on the court run down to hug each other. Big time win!

Winning sure does change ones perspective on our chances going forward. I hope the team will start hitting on all cylinders to make it even better.

Whether it's a private message or here, I'd genuinely like to hear yours or any concerns.

I'd say most people are still concerned about the lack of a point guard. I actual did not like seeing the bigs get looked away tonight, though I guarantee it was in the game plan. I have no gripes with the defense at the moment, and the rotation feels right.

What about you guys? You can't win a championship if you rest on your laurels. Where do the improvements still lie?

I'm ecstatic about the way this team is starting to show that they are comfortable playing any style, at a high level. The last three games we have held our own against great big men, great guard play, up tempo, slow tempo, on our home court, and on the road. Guys are stepping up when others are having an off night, and most important to me... Our team defense is starting to look solid! Great job guys, keep working hard!

Making sure we get a little inside scoring. The talent is there, coach is there. Everyone seems to know role

Jayson. Tatum.

Nothing more needs to be said about him. He was big time tonight and proved why the calls for him to be benched from some posters on here seemed ridiculous. He has always brought the athleticism and versatility needed for us to be a real contender and has begun playing within the system like everyone was hoping for.

Quick takes:
-Matt was huge tonight! He set the tone defensively and made a bunch of timely plays.
-Giles played some important minutes while Amile was in foul trouble. He looked great.
-Coach K proved again why he's the GOAT. So many other coaches don't win this game tonight, but his defensive adjustments and subtle changes throughout the game were absolutely huge.
-This was a great TEAM win! We were locked in defensively and everyone played with real intensity tonight.

Inside scoring will be key. I think Harry is coming, Amile isn't as consistent as he was, we need that back. And anything Marques can give us is just glaze on the donut.

Actually I think we use amile too much. He is a shell of the player he was. I still believe in the long run Giles and bolden have to be good for us to win number 6. I think frank Jackson is our point guard we just don't use him enough.

Said it after the UNCheat game: this team has become tough! To me, that's the biggest change that we've seen since November. Tough teams win in March!

I really think we caught UVA napping start of 2nd half, coming out and grabbing the lead. We literally yanked the game back in our control. Jayson- what can I say- thank you young man, I am a believer!!!! You truly let the game come to you and your teammates are looking for you...Your 3s were bombs that silenced John Paul Jones Arena! So glad I was wrong with my prediction!

Great win and definitely a resume booster. We are improving each and every game. The no PG doesn't concern me as much as not looking inside at all. There were multiple times that 2nd half I thought Amile/Giles were open down low and were overlooked. Our defense is improving and that's very promising.
Don't look now but..... Here Comes Duke!

I wouldn't go that far yet only because I think he can recapture his early season form. We've gone away from getting him the ball in the elbow series and maybe it's because of him, or maybe the staff is diverting attention away. But I do think he is tired and I do think Giles and Bolden can help give him the rest he needs to raise his efficiency.

But no one communicates on the back line of the D like Amile, and he's still been a solid position rebounder.

But if we can't get double-double Amile close fully, hopefully Harry can prove he can be productive in a similar way, which means Duke doesn't miss a beat when either one is in.

Agreed I'm not going to write off amile. But I do think if we can get bolden and Giles to be solid we will go to another level
