Tonight will be a very difficult test for our Dukies. Road games are never easy and Danny Manning has this Wake Forest team headed in the right direction. I watched the Demon Deacons play Louisville on Sunday night, on the road, and battle the Cardinals for 38 minutes.

I would go far enough to call this the best win of the season if we can find a way. I think it'll be tough, but gets done because we get some late stops.

Tonight's game is scheduled to tip at 7pm est and will air on ESPNU HD.

No amile will hurt us, especially in a huge away game. That being said, I think we pull through, Thornton will have a big night.

I don't know why Duke struggles so much at Wake, even the early 2000 teams with Jason Williams struggled. This Duke team is still learning defense and Wake circles this game and goes hard. Two years ago Wake won and last year as good as we were Duke struggled but won. I hope I'm wrong but feel Wake wins. Devin Thomas is gonna be hard to stop.

Thomas is known for talkin lots of trash, and I've noticed his emotions seem to peak against us...We need to PLAY SMART, stay out of foul trouble, and I look for an X-Factor of MP3 to impact the game positively for us in a win!

This is going to be a tough one. Wake is playing hard and definitely going in the right direction. I agree with the sentiment that this has the potential to be Duke's best win so far if they get it done. Hopefully, they have a reasonable shooting night (a 6-23 from 3 kind of night spells doom), and Ingram continues his ascension.

I've been going back and forth on this one since our win Saturday. Somehow, someway....I just think the kids figure it out and leave with a win.

Just a FYI , Wake has beaten LSU, UCLA and Indiana. We need Amile to handle Thomas, and we don't have that. He will eat Plumlee alive.

Despite our frontcourt weaknesses, our guards have them outclassed. We'll win it on the free throw line.

Some gyms in the ACC, home court doesn't really matter (Dean Dome, Conte, McCamish Pavillion). Some, it is the difference of 10+ points and the outcome of a game (Cameron, Lawerence Joel, PNC, Bank United, Cassell). Duke is going to have to be 11+ points better than Wake tonight to win by at least 1 IMO. It is just a hard place to play and their players play out of their minds at home against Duke.

Devin Thomas is on the floor for 30 mins a game because of conditioning and foul trouble, but I can't see Marshall creating foul trouble for Devin. Despite that, Marshall needs to rebound on D like an animal and Brandon is going to have to do his best Amile impression on that end. If Duke can limit the hustle, adrenaline plays, they can take Wake right out of it. If not, they go back to Cameron with their tails between their legs.

Duke - 85
Wake - 67

If Duke plays their game.

Wake - 75
Duke - 65

If the game follows the same script it usually does at the Joel.

Hopefully we can keep the crowd quiet for the most part, and our guys show the experience they have gained to this point, but I believe this will be as tough as we have had yet. Ingram must have one of his best games to date and show why he is a true one and done player.
Probably going to be a "white knuckler" and as always, I like Duke to find a way.
Go Duke!!

I don't think we're going to be able to defend Thomas at all, and generally going to struggle with dribble penetration. I think we resort to a lot of zone, which will have have mixed results. As well as our offense has played, I think the athletes of Wake will be good enough to slow Ingram / Allen down to the point where we lose. Notwithstanding the point spread -- I think this would be a mild upset for us to win in Winston Salem. Probably need an unusually hot shooting night. I think Wake's a top 5-6 team in the ACC this year. Hope I'm wrong -- but I think our deficiencies have been somewhat concealed to date by an unusually soft schedule (by Duke standards) -- particularly after the loss to Jefferson. We currently

I think we find a way to pull it out tonight....Kennard comes up big and Ingram is a matchup nightmare for the Deacons

1- Hitting our open shots
2- defensive rebounding & not giving up second chance points
3- Thomas will get his but not allowing another scorer to emerge

Plumlee isn't going to get Thomas in foul trouble....that will be the job of our guards.

Is it just me or does Thomas always seem to have a good game against us. Hoping once again Jeter steps it up tonight. Will miss the entire game. Score keeping rec ball tonight. OFC

Don't like that three attempt by Matt there. We're up eight and getting any shot we want in the halfcourt and he forces it. The result? A run out that leads to two FTs for Thomas. Every possession counts in these games. That was a potential four or five point swing.
