Wake Forest is just that good. They've just been pretending to be a .500 ball club all season.

UK is a bigger name in college this year, we'll make more headlines for that reason. And it wasnt in Durham and it didnt go to overtime. Believe it or not, ESPN doesnt hate UK. Its just that UK is the story this year.

Yeah, it was on the road, they won by 8, were up 10 the last 2 minutes pretty much, and I do not recall Wake having a chance to win it at the buzzer in a tie game or taking the game to OT and having the lead a lot of the OT.

We will no doubt have some SEC road games similar to this one in final margin and being tough...does not mean we survived a scare necessarily. Now last night...we survived a scare.

I do not recall Wake making 9/17 from three, but I do recall Wake shooting 2/13 from three and still having a chance with about 3 minutes to go.

Obviously Ole Miss gave Kentucky a bigger scare; but Duke is indeed human. The contrarian view that they're somehow above reproach is curious.

I just simply said that I doubt that would be the headline for the ESPN article recap on the game, nothing more.

Duke is beyond human....this is not news. They have one guy down low and nothing else; they live by the 3 and die by the 3. None of this is news.

I just roll my eyes at some of our fans getting their panties in a wad trying to draw comparisons and whining because a headline might not make Duke's win look as "scary" tomorrow. I am pretty confident that ESPN will at least mention they had a tough contest and it was close until 3-4 minutes to go.

Fair enough. I agree.

I will definitely say our game was much more better played by both teams. This game tonight (I admit not on that I could find), it appears both teams did not play that well, and it was not well played. Okafor appears to have been human tonight by the boxscore.

Only the Strong Survive is what it currently is

Leave it to ESPN. It takes a world-beater to leave Wake's arena alive.

Sorry but that was NOT in reference to Duke beating Wake. It was in reference to the ACC top teams winning. Even the picture had Duke and Virginia players. As for Duke, the headlines are more along the line of "Duke Avoids Upset."

I'm sure that Wake at home is just as good as Ole Miss on the road.

Hell, Ole Miss has lost to some weak teams.

Now Ole Miss on Tuesday night was REALLY good!

The OP has a good point. Take a look at how one writer for ESPN, CL Brown, has already framed the two games.

His article after the UK win talked about how UK a was not motivated for OM and took swipes at the SEC for bad losses and the league as a whole.

His article after the Duke win talked about how this game just proved how deep the ACC really was. No mention of Wake's losses to Iona or Delaware State or the fact that their biggest defeat - by 30 points - came at the hands of an SEC team.

The narrative has already been created in many cases, and the events will be framed in a way that fulfills that narrative.

I want someone to tell me, with a straight face, that the Tyus Jones late game And1 would have been called on any other team's guards, especially on The Harrisons...
