Interesting article or talk on Flo about some rumors about who is going at what weight etc. At 125 the latest rumor is that coming off his redshirt season Alan Waters will not go to 133 as anticipated but will remain at 125 which is a loaded weight with the jlikes of Delgado, Garrett and Megaludis. Speaking of Megaludis it is unknown but thought probable that he will redshirt this year at Penn State with Conway taking his place at 125.

The Dardanes twins are said to be going down in weight to 133 and 141 allowing Jake Short in the Minnesota lineup.
Logan Storley is thought to be going down in weight to 165 where Alex Dierenger is thought to be competing this year if he does not go to 174.

Cornell is apparently going to have Realbuto at 165 with Palacio going down to 157 where Dylan Ness, James Green and Ian Miller will be competing.in a tough weight class.

For any Minnesota lurkers....can Wanzek compete at 174. I had already thought about a logjam Minnesota has at the middle weights with Short, B. Kingsley, Wanzek all fr. or so. from 149 to 165 and then adding Stroker and Early to those weights. Wanzek moving up breaks that up a bit.

Oops, Flo ran an interview with Joe Colon but it was apparently one year old. Joe Colon was a senior last year and finished 3rd at the NCAA tournament. Do not know why they ran this interview and confused this old man. It was on the same page as the scuttlebutt story. Joe Colon has no eligibility left. He won a Juco Title in 2010 at Iowa Central community college. In 2011-12 he was a redshsirt sophomore and advanced to the quarters at the NCAA tournament. In 2012-13 he was kicked off the team for missing classes. As a senior in 2013-14 he was third at the NCAA.

Sorry for this and I should have remembered that he placed third last year.

You are right cowguy but I have found with advancing age that I have lost a lot of my embarrassment factor. I just blithely trip around spreading mis-information and not have a care in the world. Well-Almost!

I don't see Alex going 174, small 174 and him riding and getting off bottom would be a problem. As for scoring, no problem!

Wanzek didn't compete much during his redshirt and had mixed results, so it is hard to guage where he will be if he is the starter. He was a 4x state champ and the 22nd recruit in the nation coming out of high school, but now that is over. People closer to the program suggest he will be ready and will have a solid year. I would say Wanzek competes fine, but is not a serious AA threat at the weight. Hopefully I am wrong as his performance may be what the Gophers need to win a national title.
