I can tell you this. I pull for Texas about once every other presidential election year. Yesterday, I pulled for the Horns. Had to hold my nose, but I totally understand the Cats' pov. And welcome it.

In the Cats' game it was Big XII 69, SEC 64. And I'm glad it was. And that's the way I saw it, too. And it's not because I live through good things that happen to purple Wildcats.

22, don't tell me that you weren't pulling for nine or ten Big XII teams yesterday just because it was against the SEC.

I care about The University of Oklahoma alone. Pulling for the conference is pulling for the very teams that want to slit our throats. Furthermore, don't be fooled by this 12345Knucklehead clown. He badmouths OU on OB regularly.

When the committee goes handing out seeds, what happened yesterday will matter, especially what happened in OUr game, but also in what happened in the other nine. I fully expect we won't win out, so conference clout matters.

Besides, I pull against the SEC in just about anything these days.

Well, I hope the committee considers that OU was down by 14 a couple of times, against the team with one of the best freshman players in the NCAA, in a hostile environment and fought back to win. :)

You should live through good things that happen to maroon Wildcats. They are the only Wildcats that matter.

Can't pull for a whorn. It just ain't right.

The BIG 12 is what it is.
Me pulling for Texas, KState, Baylor, OSU, etc won't change that.

Nothing seems more stupid than going to watch your team play and root for the conference instead of your team.
What happens when you play conference games (you know, like the majority of your games each year)?
I guess in the SEC-SEC-SEC, all fans wearing both teams' colors just sing Kum Ba Yah and chant SEC-SEC-SEC.
The outcome of the games doesn't matter except for the team who wins the most games during the year (the one most likely to provide the SEC-SEC-SEC national championship).
I'm surprised they don't put together an All-Conference team at the end of the year and have that team represent the SEC-SEC-SEC in March Madness.

Humble, I'd politely yet very respectfully argue then that OU is what it is as well. You pulling for OU won't change that. It's the same logic.

The outcome of the games DO matter for OU. Not necessarily this year, I admit. But any year OU is not ranked #1 or a virtual lock for a #1 seed, we need games like these to help validate our record and get the best possible seed we can. If we were 22-10 but only 10-8 in our conference, we need our conference mates to be seen as good to great to help our record look better and get a better placing in the tournament. Or, God forbid, we ever go 19-12 or some such where the betterment of the conference would have to carry us in.
