If we ever court stormed over UT I would absolutely stop with my passion about UK.
I would trade my local community college AD for ours. Tennessee isn’t elite in basketball or football and that’s all that matters. What I like about that situation is Tennessee started hard and early in football and never got off the ground except for 1 playoff and were quickly blown out. And they threw everything in the early years at NIL and took their best shot. They didn’t hardly make a budge.
There are 2 sports that really matter and Kentucky is elite in 1 and Tennessee isn’t elite in either. I’d take being elite in 1 over being decent in 2. And our portal class in football is much better than theirs, their head coach is into it with the fans too. He hates them, and he’s peaked. I’ve got some UT friends that would trade coaches with us today. So we’ll see where it goes.
As far as UT’s AD, I really don’t know how much of that is Tennessee is just simply free to cheat and not follow rules today. They don’t even follow rules at all. They are, along with Auburn, the worst cheating program in the nation. Definitely the SEC. So when you can pay cash and don’t follow any rules at all I don’t think it’s as much their AD as it is they just win at all cost, they rape the system.
This is the honest truth I would trade AD’s with any administration in the conference. Barnhart is truly the worst nightmare for a fanbase. But he does it intentionally. He’s a hatchet man he’s here to make profits and help academic administrators not compete at high levels. They have a system and that’s why he didn’t leave when he always thought he would, he realized UK will maintain him and allow him to make a fortune and there’s no standard to win.
I agree with you basically on everything. I say we are elite in basketball also because that’s all ik to say as a UK fan. We have an elite history. We gotta get back to being elite on the court.
Easy to say sitting on the couch. It is a little different after you have been in the heat of battle the entire game. I have no problem with BG's actions either. The first half of the year fans were saying he was soft, now he gets criticized for standing up for his team. I like his improved aggression.
Just wanted to say I get where Kev is coming from, I thought much of the same on BG so I can’t say I didn’t have those same feelings. I have interacted with BG several times and one of those times for an extended period with a friend of mine who knows him. BG is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met at UK, up there with the good ones. On one occasion he stayed at a church to play kickball with the kids and talk to them for over an hour when he didn’t have to. I’m not a huge fan of his game, gotta be objective on that. And didn’t like him before interacted. But that guy played with those kids like he was one of them, just came natural to him. I have no doubts he a damn good dad, and given the systematic issues in that area (whoever’s fault) I think it’s really important to speak on his character to that.
I am afraid he’s here because of that, given his situation, and I just hope Pope is putting the program up front in situations like that although I know it’s tough. But we have to stop looking at everything around the program and start taking care of this place.

I don’t see how it’s immature. Garrison wasn’t out there acting crazy or throwing punches. No telling what was said by Tennessee anyway. BG is an upper classmen. A father and probably a leader on this team even if his play isn’t the best. Just an older player sticking up for all the younger ones.
Sad we have been complaining about the teams lack of effort/fire all season. We come back down 17 on the road and we really have suck almighty fans that we are to good to talk trash to UT.

I don’t get how he’s a fake tough guy? He’s been the one in the action the last two years. I don’t think he is a fake tough guy. I think he will continue to stand up for his teammates even if a couple fans believe that is being a gangsta thug.
How did yall live with Cousins? Yall had to of called him the worst if BG is a gangsta thug. I can appreciate it. Matter fact give me a team of gangsta thugs because 2010 was one of the most exciting years and more than 50% of that team is affiliated with street gangs. Yall keep the church boys all you want. And no that’s not a jab at Chandler. Chandler is actually maybe the hardest player on the team. I’d take him in a alley way with me.

Garrison isn’t a leader. I don’t care if he’s a father or a nice guy off the court. He’s been benched because of puss poor play and effort. That’s undeniable. Yapping immediately after a win (buzzer sounding, game over) doesn’t show fire or effort. It shows immaturity. It takes zero effort to run your mouth. Do the things necessary to win games prior to the buzzer sounding. Then act like you’ve won a game before.
Man you’re probably right about all this more than me. I realize I’m not gonna be impartial when Tennessee is part of the conversation. My hatred for them isn’t gonna allow me to have a level headed take. BG does that to any other team in the sec I’m probably saying the same things you are.

BG has quickly became one of my favorite players. He responded to being benched and his body language is alot better. He seems to have accepted his role. And he's always the first one going in, when **** gets real.
I agree. If BG wants to accept his role, remain a cat, be the guy who can become an important piece etc I’m all for it. I don’t remember seeing him take those stupid 3’s either.
At the same time if he’s expecting too much I don’t want Pope to pay him simply over his child and loyalty. We have to win right now we can’t afford to be doing charity.
I will say though, I think it’s important to not recycle rosters and have a family environment here. I don’t want Kentucky just signing players up for a year and moving on. Find the guys that want to be at UK and stay at UK that are also able to assume the role they’re signed up for and hang banners. But I hope BG is back and ready to take on a role that suits him and ends a Cat. Hope Chandler does as well, Noah too. But they have to accept roles. Mark doesn’t want recycled rosters either so I think he understands it as well.
