Interestingly, the unheralded Elyjah Williams played for NU for one season, part of that highly-talented 2021-22 squad with Pete Nance, Ryan Young, Ryan Greer, Casey Simmons, Julian Roper, Chase Audige, Ty Berry, Robbie Beran, Matt Nicholson, Brooks Barnhizer and Boo Buie.
Of all those individual players, NU had its best results when Williams was on the court. He "won" 418-407 against Big Ten opposition. Everybody else "lost." Robbie Beran lost 893-821.
"Plus/Minus" strikes again! I remember scoffing when Williams declared for the NBA Draft. Gotta respect a simple stat that can tell you "this guy is better than you think" and be proven right.
