Not sure if he’s going to want a promised starting position or just a fair opportunity. I can’t see him being the top target for UK or LSU. But maybe for North Texas? Maybe a good depth piece.

Seems like a class kid. I think we will be really happy if he comes to UK. He is quoted as saying the staff was honest with him, saying he would come in as No. 2 on the depth chart with the ability to battle for the starting role.

Just based on film, I really like this guy. Not sure how his talent tranfers to big time football but the kid looks really good and would love to have him.

We need him plus a QB1. He can redshirt next year. Qb2 is Minchey. He'll push for QB1. We need a high/elite level QB1. QB1 perferably with NFL potential. He plays 2026, gets drafted, Minchey is then QB1 in 2027. There's a succession in the room and little to no drop off when a qb goes down. You have a plan in place, not reactionary.

Minchey is exactly who Wisconsin and Kentucky would battle over in the stoops era. Our HC is a QB whisperer that is coaching in the playoffs. We cant be satisfied with this. If so then you get 2026 Kentucky mens basketball team. In most cases you cant take each teams best backup and feel like you are climbing the ladder.

If Stein thinks he’s good enough to be QB1, he’s good enough to be QB1.

I would take a Will Levis type of transfer every year.

U6 (a program that is sadly better than us the last few years) went our route, taking in Lincoln Kienholz from Ohio State. Kienholz has posted these spectacular stats:

SeasonTeamCMPATTCMP%YDSAVGTDINTLNGSACKRTG
2023OSU102245.511150025187.8
2025OSU111478.61399.910230185.5
Career213658.32506.910251125.8

U6 fans seem to love this pickup of a former 5 star as they have faith in their staff. Of course we have a hangover from our past staff. Issue is we got teased with Leavitt, so anyone else feels like a downgrade.

I trust our talent evaluators on staff as they have not yet proven themselves wrong. Thus, Minchey has my support!

After looking into UL’s pick and talking to OSU fans, UL probably got a QB similar to Tyler Shough. Brohm does a good job getting QBs to reach their potential. I suspect they have reason to be comfortable.

Well the good thing is, this is football lol. Probably going to be an adjustment for you if you're paying attention to football the first time. Stein needs to flip as much as this roster as possible. And saving some $$$ at QB , helps to add OL, WR, RB, DE, DT, LB, CB. There are a lot of players who will make their first starts next fall and turn into stars
