I know I know, much much more to it than that.

Not sure Ryan sticks as the SG this may have been matchup based. As a leader, he has demonstrated he can mentally "handle" any role coach serves him.

That said, it was good to see DJ getting the call, I think he will remain the starting PG until he leaves campus.

Williams appears to have usurped Enoch. Nwora was back and there was good and bad there to me the key was there was some good.

The 3 captains McMahon, Sutton, Williams - REALLY stepped up last night. Was a big night for this team.

Thoughts?

It was matchup based regarding Ryan IMO. We needed his shooting early against that zone. DJ is our best option at the point because of his size and court vision. I believe Williams is also our best option at center. He's quicker than Enoch and plays better defense.

Going forward, I expect to see DJ as the starting PG. I also expect to see Perry take up the 2 guard slot, with Nwora at SF, Sutton playing undersized at the 4 because of his toughness and Williams anchoring the 5 spot. Kimble, McMahon, Enoch, and Williamson the first 4 off the bench.

With Johnson's ability to see the court, I'm not sure you take McMahan out of the lineup. Opposing teams will have to account for two players launching from 30 feet which opens the middle and driving lanes. I love the lineup we played last night. Fresh provides some grit of the bench and Enoch plays better with limited minutes. This might be our winning lineup.

I agree that we will see DJ starting and Malik at the 5. I also agree that McMahon was a matchup decision and Mack basically said so postgame. However, I do believe that Mack follows social media and probably has his own stats that say DJ/Kimble or DJ/McMahon is just more efficient than anyone with Perry so I see either Kimble or McMahon starting alongside DJ.

Perry only played 7 min last night.

I like Ryan out there with DJ, I think that theme with continue; bring in Fresh to sub either spot if needed. I also noted that he would sub in Williamson for a G and move Nwora from 3 to 2. I really like these types of varied lineups, but I do think we've got ourselves a new starting 5.

I will say this. Not sure of who will be asked to guard UNC’s Cole Anthony? Perry may be the obvious choice.

The keys to the offense have been handed to the rookie sensation. His willingness and ability to make others better have pushed him to the front.
No knock on our other guys. They all have a role to play in the equation.

Not a Perry fan. Just not, but watching him jack up shots outside the offensive game plan I think it’s safe to say Perry is a fan of Perry!
