End of year board reflection

This year has been tough we've had a super roller coster ride and I just want to say that I really enjoy our board. We have a great diversity of people and I wouldn't want it any other way. I also wanna apologize for anybody I might of been a jerk 2 this season! And I wanna offer a special message to @dukiejay i was really a jerk to you early in the season and I shouldn't have been.. you're a good voice of reason here and over the season I've really came to respect you and like you! Lol..
here's to a fun offseason and more great posting!

Meh. I've always liked you pisgah. I'm not going to hold a few comments earlier in the season against you. We're all passionate. That's what makes this fun.

It's truly amazing on how frustrating this season has been. Been a roller coaster ride for sure. Hopefully in the offseason everyone stays healthy and maybe we can start next season off as a full strength team and make a run at it next year. I CANT wait to see Gary Trent Jr play!!

I can't wait to see Grayson and Luke in Duke blue next year.

I'm still in this mode, will take a couple of days. Re-watching game last night did not help. I'm a Duke hoops junkie and hate the days after the season concludes.

Great season on the board though, we sure had enough to talk about.

This is the thing I wish for more than anything. This year was insane in that regard. The personnel will work itself out, I just want a group that has the luxury of continuity and collective growth. This year's team was robbed of that - no their fault by any means, but still extremely detrimental.

Great board and great people here! Sure we get carried away w/one another at times, but remember it all goes back to our passion for the greatest basketball program w/equally great academics in the country!

Proud to be a member and a pleasure to be a member of the OLD FARTS CLUB here too! Plenty of nice younger folks also who are sharp and know their stuff...God bless everyone and GO Duke!

Great board! Has been for several years! I apologize I haven't posted as much these last few years but my goal is to get back on here more.

It has been a roller coaster of a season. But hey.... we did win the ACC Championship by playing and winning 4 games in 4 days! And we beat Unc 2 out of 3 times! I will try to remember the good times with this team and am looking forward to next season.

Feel a little better. Well time to root against UNC and Kentucky. Take it easy guys it was an awesome 2017 journey let's get ready for the next. Take nothing for granted we don't know the future especially with a 70 year old coach!

I consider it a successful season especially with all the things that happened this year. Most programs would have buckled under if they had to deal with the situations they popped up. Looking forward to next year as I plan on returning. In fact I plan on staying active and in posting shape during the off season. OFC

For all the youngsters on this board, if this is the worst season that you have experienced, feel very blessed. Its amazing that this program has come this far, the best in the country bar none. That's why everyone outside is such a hater. I was a Duke fan when Duke was just another win for the other team most seasons with an occasional run to a FF. And the first few years with Coach K was rocky. Now look at the program. The most hated program in College hoops. That alone shows the greatness of this program and what Coach K has built here in Durham. Still the number one program in the country, especially in NC.

Took 2/3 from the Cheats, knocked them out of the ACC Tourney on our way to winning the ACC.
Not the worst season, not the best either.
As far as the off season, it's the first time I can say I couldn't care less who's stays/goes.
Upperclassmen would be nice, but a fresh start might be what K needs. Who knows.

Redick, sitting here worrying over who's leaving/staying and just read your post. Gave me fresh perspective my friend, and frankly am very inclined to agree with you!

Absolutely love this board and you guys are awesome! So glad to see even if everyone doesnt see eye to eye we still can agree we are all Duke fans! Sucks how the season ended but we will be back.

Always get nervous when posting but I'm trying to get over that and post more!

Haha! Like November I said something and we had a little scuffle. I guess it lasted with me more than you LOL! I read something that said you didn't need to say stuff on the internet you wouldn't say in person and Ima lot bigger jerk online then in person so it got me ha!

Fell short in the Tourney But...
Overall a successful season

1. Beat the Heels 2/3 -- that alone is success!
2. ACC champs and won 4 in a row to do it!

Battled through injuries, Grayson in the penalty box for tripping, and Coach K surgery...
