Thoughts?

Man City: They should run away with it. Just look at this roster man: Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany, Fabian Delph, Raheem Sterling, William Bony, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernando, Hart and now friggin Kevin De Bruyne. Jeezus man!

Man U: Jury still out on them - Need a couple more pieces.

Chelsea: There are a lot of issues there - If they can get Pogba by 6pm today then they are right there with Man City...but that doesn't look very likely

Arsenal: 4 games, 1 true goal (the rest own goals) on 87 chances created. A billion dollar club, and they are only going to add Petr Cech in this window! Baffles me.... Benzema- Whiff, Cavani-Wiff, Sterling- Whiff, Schinderlin- Whiff, Higuain-Whiff. DESPERATELY NEED A STRIKER. However with that being said, they have played horribly and are still sitting at 5th.

Surprises: Crystal Palace, Swansea, West Ham

Crazy that this past week CP and Swansea beat Man U and Chelsea and both kind of dominated those games. West Ham isn't too bad either. Those teams are going to ultimately decide how the top 4 finish.

Surprises: Crystal Palace, Swansea, West Ham

I know it is Swansea but they did finish 8th last year and the addition of André Ayew has been huge for the team.

Plus they have won 4 out 5 against Man U, including the 3 straight. They also beat Arsenal twice last year. Typically they struggle with the big teams in the EPL (Chelsea, Man U, Man City, Arsenal) but they are proving they can play with them now.

Not saying they will get into the Top 4, but they have built an excellent team.

Agree it looks like it's Manchester City's title to lose, but there are still a lot of games to play.

Part of Chelsea's problem is that they've played a hard schedule to start the season during a time of turmoil for the team. AT Man City was never going to be more than a Draw. Crystal Palace and Swansea have been surprisingly top tier. They should have at least 6 points now though. Chelsea will rise to the top 2 of the table within a few weeks or months. And they'll be right there at the end with Man City.

Well, at least it hasn't been a boring first 4 match-days!

Man City clearly look the strongest. I would normally assume a significant amount of points dropped in the winter months, but I think City were the only team in England to truly strengthen their weaknesses. Otamendi was a huge signing for them to help spell the CBs. This team will ride the wave provided that Yaya Toure stays healthy and in form.

Man United and Chelsea have spent quite a bit this summer, but have done little to strengthen their squads. I think Van Gaal is a terrible tactician, which has been exposed over the last year. 3rd year, self-destructive Mourinho is in full force right now. Unless major changes occur, I think Chelsea will fight for a UCL spot all season and Mourinho will face the sack. Also, can Chelsea either play their youngsters or just sell them? Loaning 31 players in a season is just stupid.

Arsenal is the same squad they are EVERY year. There's always pre-season bluster saying: "This is the year Wenger puts all the pieces together...." (their Community Shield victory vs. Chelsea isn't looking so good these days). And every year, they utterly fail to meet expectations. I just don't think their style of play just isn't well suited for England. Even mid-table EPL teams can clog a midfield and make it tough for Arsenal to score. Wenger's unwillingness to play through the flanks KILLS his squad.

Liverpool have sold all of their top talent and have struggled to bring in quality replacements. After receiving 65m GBP for Suarez and 49m GBP for Sterling, the Reds have all together failed to bring any world-class talent to Anfield. It baffles me how a team like Liverpool cannot attract top talent. Obviously, missing out on the UCL for several years REALLY hurts. In any event, I think this will be Rodgers' last season, which will probably be the best thing for him as he's a quality manager.

Should be interesting to see how teams fare after the international break. Some block-buster games coming up Sept. 12-13, with Man United facing Liverpool and Chelsea facing Everton. Also, don't sleep on the Crystal Palace v. Man City match-up.

I really enjoy watching teams like Swansea and Crystal Palace. They don't have the World Class names but they still have tons of talent and know how to put it together.

I think Welbeck will provide a huge boost for Arsenal when he returns but I agree they should have sealed a deal for Benzema, Cavani or some top striker during the window. Maybe January?

Also, I couldn't care less about what a club spends on PROVEN players, if you have the money spend it but Man United paying £36 Million for Martial is mind blowing. Can you say panic buy?

Nothing will happen in January because they will be Champions League Cup Tied as it is. Arsenal deserves all scorn it gets for continuing to employ an out of touch past his prime cheapskate to basically run the entire GD operation.
