I read about this guy in the Ashland paper today. It said some of the other attorneys involved in the case had an office pool going over whether the guy would flee. Wonder if he paid off a judge to not be in prison.

Did anybody really doubt this guy wouldn't run? Probably been stashing money around the world for years in countries that wouldn't extradite him back to the U.S. My wife and I were eating at the Peking restaurant in Pikeville a few years ago, Conn and a filipino looking chick came in dressed to the nines. Anybody that eats at buffets is alright in my book. I hope they never catch him

Yeah what a huge piece of ****. I saw him at Peking hibachi in Pikeville several years back in a Harvard sweater. Guy is everything wrong with the world today. I'm sure he will never be found which sucks but maybe he goes to Cuban jail which I would imagine is awful.

I'm just going to throw this out here, I think it's a stupid scenario, but who knows? And it is the internet, but, a guy told my brother, who is as honest as the day is long, that Eric C Conn is in the witness protection program. He spilled the beans on some higher ups. Far out right?

So,if his body is found with two bullet holes to the back of the head by suicide, you heard it here first.

Eric C Conn, while a scumbag, shows how stupid our government is. It would be ridiculously easy using some level of analytics to detect his behavior and shut him down well before he defrauded the government of $500 M. He probably should be rewarded for exposing how lousy our SS administration is.

If he doesn't shoot himself first, when he gets to prison he needs to corner the hot chocolate market. Bernie madoff has succeeded in prision by doing just that. Control the chocolate, and control the yard.

He didn't expose anything. We all know it's a fraud. SSI in eky, west va and other part of Appalachia has been a massive fraud for years. He just tried to cut even bigger corners.

It ain't in South Carolina. I think they give Appalachia a pass due to economics and put other states under the microscope. The only way you can get SSI here is if you never completed HS and work at a menial job.

It didnt even take that. Everyone in the area knew he was dirty. No one wins that percentage of cases, let alone social security. All anyone had to do was look and they wouldve seen it.

No one in power cared.
