Agreed but it's pretty clear he wants to be a head coach and control a program. His next step is likely a head coach at a smaller college. That will likely be his path if he wants to coach college ball.Dude can coach
There were 2 rumors going around when he left. One was that he didn't like Satterfield and the other was that he didn't like the time commitment for recruiting. No idea if either is true, just what was floating around when he left. Vienna's post is probably closer to the truth and he just wants to be a headman somewhere. Was shocked when he left - anyone know the scoop?
Heard from former players that college coaching wasn’t for him. He found a great job at the HS level.Agreed but it's pretty clear he wants to be a head coach and control a program. Yep, I think this is pretty well understood to be the case. He coached 17 years in high school, did college for 1 year, and then went back to high school. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.Heard from former players that college coaching wasn’t for him. He found a great job at the HS level.
Do you have good information on this? Did he or one of his close confederates tell you this?He left because his Boss did not value his opinion and did not include him in key meetings or decisions- basically, when you work 80 hours a week and do not see any of your ideas / suggestions implemented, then you move on- It really is that simple, no matter what kind of job you have.
