Wait a sec, he said that UK's schedule sets up well. I thought that it was he worst schedule ever according to some of the posts I've read on here lately. Lol

Analysts said the same things last year. End of the day, none of these analysts have their pulse on the program. Too many questions to definitely say UK will go to a bowl.

Questions at QB
New OC with a new system
will the defense improve
Will the coaches improve.

Oh, and I can't see how anyone can look at that schedule and say it sets up nicely unless you're expecting the SEC East to continue to be down like it was last year. Don't believe that's going to happen 2 years in a row

Why would anyone ever pay any attention to what the ESPN analysts have to say. I think we will definitely win 6 and maybe 7 games this year, but the most improvement will be in 2016.

The SEC East has been down for about 3 years or so. Outside of UT, most of the east has a ton of question marks next year.

Mizzou is a dumpster fire of the first magnitude. USCjr just hired the worst and most incompetent coach in the country. Vandy is always going to be Vandy. I think that UK is set up to beat all three of those teams every year for several years to come. Sneak up and snatch a win from UT or Miss St and UK could be going to a better bowl than most here would expect.

If Coach Stoops can't go 3-5 in the SEC and 3-1 OOC in year 4, he has no excuses left.

How many other SEC programs(Vandy not Included) would aspire to those numbers?

That worst and incompetent coach is undefeated against UK

UK is catching a little break against Southern Miss, not that its needed but a break non the less, by their coach leaving, plus 3 of the SEC east teams will have new coaches, so at least 4 games with rookie coaches, only 1 with head coaching experience and it was bad. About the only bad thing is you are drawing Bama as your rotation from the west, who will be breaking in a new qb and have a new DC, State is replacing who might be their all time best player. So expecting a bowl isn't unrealistic at all, with all the coaching changes things look pretty good. Missouri is almost certainly taking a step down with their head coach, plus their qb seems to be a head case, Muschamp had trouble winning with UF talent, he doesn't have that at USC, Richt was a good coach and was going to win 8-12 games a year, but he wasn't going to win the big one. Smart may not be the answer, but more electricity surrounding the program the last 3 weeks than anytime in Richt's time, we find out Wed how effective he has been in getting kids to Athens, it could be epic success or epic failure depending on where 3-4 kids decide to go, but he is has been on the road every night since the championship game, visiting schools, prospects and doing inhomes every night.

Oh I don't know about that. Almost every analyst I saw last yr predicted 5-6 wins.....which is right where we were. I don't think it's a stretch to think that with a proven OC (new system or not), improved maturation of players, and improved depth that we can eek out 1 more win, do you?

I think people think this year's schedule is more daunting simply because of bama being there, but honestly lets look at the schedule and UK on paper should be better than a lot of teams. Southern Miss just lost their coach and some of their offense so you don't know if they will be as good. Austin Peay and New Mexico State should be easy wins. USC is rebuilding, Mizzou is rebuilding, MSU is in a transistion year and UK is still more talented than Vanderbilt. Let's be honest...UK beat themselves in that game. You don't know how UGA will be in year 1 of a new coach..supremely talented yes, but you just can't say for sure it will translate well in year 1.

I say right now the only teams UK can't beat is Alabama and UT. UT seemed to turn a corner late in the year and bama is bama. I don't know if they will make a bowl or not, but this schedule isn't the gauntlet that some are making it out to be.
