As soon as I saw the headline, I knew people would pounce on this.

I read the headline and I thought to myself "When was UK considering NOT sticking with Harrison at PG?

Honestly, it's not as if these past 2 games have been a ringing endorsement of Tyler Ulis either.

So, I know many like to believe that UK fans are paranoid when it comes to things like this, but it's far too predictable to not view it as agenda driven.

Dana needs to get laid. Sounds like the only time she gets it is 15 seconds on a restaurant table.

I would say get used to this question because it will continue all season long. The question was asked and Cal answered it.

Yeah, I don't believe this was ever a consideration at this point.

Sort of like the old loaded/misdirect question of, "When did you stop beating your wife?"

I expect to see crap like this for the rest of the season. These haters are going to nit pick the hell out of Kentucky all because they cant accept the truth that no other team is better than Kentucky.
First it was Kansas, then Arizona, then duke, then Louisville, and now its Virginia. Next it will be the muddogs from south central Louisiana state.

What does a woman that went to college at Penn State know about college basketball, really?

Not trying to be sexist either. Women in Kentucky are different. Some know more than the men.

One of the things that makes us what we are is the fact that we have both Andrew and Ulis. Sometimes one plays better than the other. Andrew was dynamite in the tournament last season, from running the team to hitting key FT's. Ulis brings a different dimension to us. Fortunately, the other teams are the ones that are gonna have to figure out how to overcome that dilemma.

Be careful what you say. She/he is lurking RR for a story when she/he is under deadline to produce SOMETHING. She/he might even have a handle here.

Wonder how many national media outlets have lurkers and/or poster here?

This.

Harrison had 5 assists to 0 turnovers Saturday ( I refuse to count the 1 he had that was clearly a horrific call). He played well as far as a PG goes...he is not a shooting guard. At least he had the balls to go to the hoop some and try to get to the line. He is never going to be a good shooter, but it is what it is at this point. He does shoot decent from 3, and usually from the FT line...idk why he struggles from 2 so much.

He flails around too much when he gets in there. Doesn't use his body to initiate contact.

Oddly, he was much better at this last year. He had games (UNC on the road) where he lived at the foul line. This year it looks like he doesn't want any part of that contact and will contort his body in odd, impossible ways to keep from drawing fouls.

Needs to be a bull when he gets in there. A Mateen Cleaves kind of player. Instead he wants to try to Eurostep and scoop shots in when he isn't that sort of PG.

Yeah, he needs to go to the hoop strong and absorb the contact.

He would make more baskets that way and get more and 1's that way.

Booker went to the rack with authority on his and 1 in OT...we need more of that. We need more of our guards going to the hoop all together IMO. Attack, attack, attack!

1. That is sexist, trying or not. 2. Myron Medcalf is the author of the article. 3. Myron Medcalf appears to be a man who went to Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN (not that it has anything to do with basketball knowledge).

The other main headline on the NCAAM page is "UK no longer unanimous #1".......typical ESPN crap. So we are 97% #1 because of a known UK hater and a Hoosier that covers IU in Indianapolis. Who cares?

Neither of these are newsworthy.

As a KU fan, I have some outside perspective. I thought this article was a strange one too. Yea Aaron hit the big shots, but Andrew was the starting point playing basically all the minutes on a team that went to the title game. But the media, ESPN in particular has a crazy crush on Ulis like I've never seen. Might be because he's the little guy on a team of giants. Don't get me wrong, the kid is a great player, and you've gotta love the energy he plays with (also I've been surprised how well he shoots), but taking over as a starter already? Not sure he's earned that yet over someone with Final Four experience. Maybe the twittersphere has tons of tweets with average fans suggesting Ulis should take over or something.

On the bright side for you guys, at least Ulis is getting love. Maybe he's the next Aaron Craft, the guy who gets way more love than he deserves, just because he doesn't have the typical 5-star body.

Just some thoughts. Once I saw that article, knew there would be some UK fans wondering why it was titled the way it was.

Best of luck crushing Mizzou this year. Always love seeing them get stomped

If you take last year out of it and just look at production, Ulis should be playing the most minutes of the two. He's been unquestionably the best point guard on the team and arguably one of the two or three best players.

But there's more to it than this. You've got what happened with Andrew last year, you've got the "platoons" and the fact that Ulis/Booker have been playing together since the summer, you've got the twins and the fact that Cal doesn't want to separate them, you've got the fact that we're 15-0 and really there's no need to change much until the team loses, and also Ulis at his size may not hold up if he were having to log more minutes than he's seen.

If we could strip all that corollary stuff away then Ulis should probably be playing 25 minutes to Andrew's 15. But the issue's not that simple.

Oh please. Time to drop the "blue platoon/white patoon" schtick. Even Cal has stopped using that terminology because of the simple fact that we're really not doing that anymore. That was an early season thing, fun for awhile, but basically done now.

No way has Ulis done anything to warrant 10 more minutes of playing time per game over Andrew at this point.

As of now, Andrew is averaging around 4 more minutes per game over Ulis. Perhaps that should be adjusted toward an even spread to perhaps a slight edge for Ulis, but it would be absurd to expect Cal to drop Andrew's minutes down from 25 minutes per game to 15.

I also find it odd to see so much of this talk now after Ulis was less than spectacular over the previous 2 games.

The 2 compliment each other very well in terms of strengths and weaknesses. I can't think of a time when I felt like Cal refused to play Ulis when Andrew was not playing well. Not sure why people don't simply allow Cal to do his thing and play the guy who's performing in that particular game.

I thought Ulis played pretty well at TAMU. He got way too far up on that left-handed point guard and gave up the circus and-one at a crucial time, but I thought he had a solid game.

Against Ole Miss he got picked on. But that was the first really poor game I've seen him have.

I like Andrew. I have no problem with the way Cal has handled the PT split so far. Andrew has improved in a lot of ways; defensively I've seen pretty monumental improvements. But I think Ulis is substantially better.
