It’s because espn has the women’s tournament so they are hyping the hell out of it.
ESPN is promoting a product they make money on. Shocker, I know...

Are they making money on it? My understanding is that the ratings aren't really all that great. But, if they've already invested in it, might as well try to maximize it's value, for whatever it's worth.
Last year's the women's Final Four got better ratings than the men's. They're trying to keep that momentum going. But even if they're not making a profit on it yet, the more they have a financial interest to promote those games.
ESPN is a joke.
They promote WOKE crap to the point where they have become a SHELL of what they once were. Women's basketball is one of the LOWEST rated sports on TV. Caitlyn Clark helped raise the awareness of the sport, but ESPN decided to allow her to be ridiculed and harassed to the point that it was ridiculous.
It is CRAZY how ESPN covers sports now.

Use CBS Sports for checking CBB stuff. They make the money off of it so they actually post about it
The women's game sucks,especially the tourney. They allow the highest seeds to play home games for God sake. Yawn
