No mention of King who isn't exactly chopped liver either, but I'll take a positive UK football article any day.:)

UK does have really good players in the playmaking positions. Also the secondary on defense isn't too shabby either.

With all the reports coming out of practice with how great the OL is doing I really think we are going to have some special runs this season. I think this is the year we see two 1000 yard rushers. Most will be taken off in big chunks but we have some who are capable of being bruisers as well.

I'm getting a football bowner right now!!!!!!

Call me crazy, but I feel like we have a better backfield than Alabama, and the argument is certainly there when you're talking about the Kentucky backfield vs the Tennessee backfield.

Regardless, when's the last time we've been able to say anything like that?

Bama's ranking is based on reputation vs output from their guys from last season. Theirs no doubt that the rb's from LSU, Georgia, UT and UK have a proven explosive back carrying the ball.
Major key to running the ball is the OL opening holes. Typically all those teams listed have had excellent lines in the past and are recruiting well now to ensure talent is coming in.

Nothing would i like more than to shut out Bama and get the W.

Some random thoughts about Bama here. There is no doubt they have the most talented roster from top to bottom in the SEC, their OL will be one of if not the best in the conference, Ridley and Howard are at worse top 2 at their position. But their RBs aren't proven, neither of them, their qb whoever it is has always had that big proven back to depend on, does he have that this year? On the other side of the ball, Jeremy Pruitt is a great DC, but he has the personality of a wounded grizzly bear, he couldn't get alone with RIcht or anyone else on the staff. It almost become physical between him and one of the offensive coaches at practice on day in front of the team. Thomas Brown was one of the strongest BullDawgs ever and pound for pound the strongest to play at UGA, Pruitt rethought and it ended. He had the offensive staff in conflict with the defensive staff and the defensive staff in conflict with each other. But he is a hell of a DC and without him we wouldn't have won 7 games with our offense. My point is it looks like Bama has lost 2 DB starters since fall camp started. Pruitt send several kids packing at UGA his first year too, To him, there is his way and the wrong way, there is no compromise. Now I don't know if he is doing the same at Bama, but he caused issues while at UGA, maybe he can do that at Bama too. He doesn't stay anywhere very long and will be a head coach one day, if he can get some assistants to work for him I think he will be very successful.

King is versatile and will be important out of the backfield and key on STs. Gran said his last 4 practices have been really good, getting him back to where he was in the spring after dealing with a loss in his family this fall. I really think he brings both juice and toughness.

Bama's backs are rated on rep alone and the fact that everyone knows with Bama's OLine, they have the least amount of work to do for signs of success. Hard for anyone to top UT's backs, based on their successes. There are a lot of good RBs in the SEC.
