did anyone see the part of the game where the states that border Nebraska, don't give us what we need for recruiting? so we will have to start recruiting where them there dragons be, like texas, florida and california.

what kinda weird, wild thinking is this from ESPN?

The focus of those numbers was the ESPN top 300.......not sure even if we go out of the area ESPN showed we would focus on ESPN top 300. Yes we want those guys but realistically most of our roster is not on that list. Regardless of the state we recruit in.

I wonder how the horns rank on their list?
I guess it just rubbed me wrong seeing NU has always recruited beyond the bordering states.

I think Nebraska can still go into Texas and grab 3-5 players every year. This isn't the 70's or 80's where football coverage was limited, you can watch just about any game you want these days, so families can watch their kids play. Sure, it's not close to home for a lot of players, but Nebraska has gotten so many from other states for decades.

It does take hard work and you have to be able to sell your philosophy to kids, but Nebraska will be fine. Going into other B1G states and hitting the trail hard will reap rewards and I also think kids in Arizona and California will be receptive, as they have been in the past. Bottom line is you have to make those players believe that Nebraska is the right place for them and the type of football is what they will excel in.
