I have had psoriasis since I was 18 years old (I am 39 now). I tried everything. Creams, tapes, pills, light therapy, injections....you name it, I tried it. About 4 years ago, a doctor referred Stelara to me. She said I would only have to get a shot in the stomach once every 3 months and nothing else. I thought it was the next failure. I haven't had any signs of psoriasis since. Thank god for good insurance as the coast of 1 injection is about $6500. It's amazing that for 17 years, I tried everything and nothing worked and now, I've been clear for 4 years.

Anyone else have any miracles that have happened to their health after many failed attempts.

$6500 for 1 shot every 3 months? What's in it that stuff, dead baby juice?

I've never found any such "miraculous" cure for any of my ailments. Glad you did though.

I used to have psoriasis occasionally. I'd get it behind my ears. A few years later, it moved to my eyelids! Sucked. Hydrocortisone cream helped. For some reason I haven't had it at all for about 10 years.

It's an effective treatment for your psoriasis - for the time being - but not a 'cure.' A 'cure' would mean you no longer need to take it.

Absolutely. I know it will most likely not work at some point and I will do the trial and error again

I have Cuban friend who came here when he was a teen. He had athlete's foot for as long as he could remember. Stateside, he found out there was a cheap spray to cure it and it made him hate Cuba even more.

Suffered with Crohns to the point where docs were getting ready to start cutting out sections of intestines. Tried many treatment options that didn't seem to have any effect at all. Started Remicade infusions and BOOM...normal function returned. Been two years now and still going strong. Pretty expensive treatment but I feel blessed to not be in pain and fear.

I hate to be that guy...but, have you looked into diet changes? A lot of advancement of auto immune diseases with diet, especially skin diseases.

The biggest one is paleo diet. I have a similar skin issue and use turmeric for symptom treatment. Across what I have learned, is that diet helps a lot with this. Same thing in how they treat epilepsy in children.

I haven't made the leap yet, but it's a matter of when not if.

I have spent years and years with a bum ankle. The damn thing even makes me limp slightly on rare occasions. Last week my cousin from Detroit introduced me to Heroin. I swear it's like a Christmas miracle. I have had absolutely no pain whatsoever. It even helps with arthritis

[laughing] a Christmas miracle
