You da man. Have to admit, I'm gonna be a johnny-come-lately...
I was impressed that Coach Stoop allowed his back-up QB to throw two passes in a game while having his doors blowed off.

That shows true Future Science.

(Starting with the correct spelling of his name..)

And those who know me know why.

:)

I like STOOPS as well! Only problem Stoops having is finding the right OC and ST coaching staff! Hard thing to do and requires patience. Neal Brown was forced out by fans and if yoou had seen Troy State they are posting HUGE Offensive numbers! Yes Troy's Defensive issues suck, but offensively is a big score. Brown needed more time for is right game playing! With those numbers and Stoops defensive play one can see.....!

The trick to keeping Stoops in Lexington is well, tricky.

Sure, it doesn't take much to keep Slappy fans happy but he does need to get to bowl every now and then which has been amazingly challenging for a team that schedules 3 cupcakes, has 8 home games every year and resides in the SEC East.

Now the tricky part. Mildcat fans won't want to support their team unless they win the Governor's Cup every now and then so the re-hiring of Bobby Petrino may not have been conducive to keeping Porky at the helm.

Enjoying the present. Yahtzee!!

Unless he gets an offer somewhere else, Stoops will stay at UK for at least 3 more years. If he does manage to back into a Bowl with this team, he should get on the phone with every A.D. in the country and beg for a job offer to get the hell out of there.

I think his seat gets really hot this time next year. If we put them out of a bowl bid again next season, lol, the disaster would be too much to bear. They'd fire Mother Theresa if that happened. Honestly, that would be a streak worth talking about.

They hired someone with zero head coaching experience and he doesn't know how to do the job. Maybe next time they'll at least pluck some hapless C-USA head coach.

Doubt it. LPT would be a demotion from a CUSA program.

They would have to drop down to an FCS school for a head coach.

I read on TOS that he has a 20 million dollar buyout, if true...that's one of the craziest deals I've ever heard of. Barnhart is a genius. o_O

I've officially appointed myself his biggest fan after tonite. He's everything I thought he would be--if possible, more.
Then all us Stooper fans need to get outfitted in blue from the Lexington Goodwill store and get to Commonwealth next week to cheer on the Mildcats against the Flying Bobby Lutz's next weekend.

I always liked having the UK game on the schedule, because it provided a relatively easy win against a SEC team (on paper). I thought beating a SEC team would help UL's resume for a bowl. But now I don't know. Nobody considers UK to be a legitimate SEC program. Actually, UK is an embarrassment to that league. I'm sure the fans of other SEC teams cringe when they hear someone point out that UK is an SEC team.

Stoops is here to stay, like someone said in a earlier post, his buyout is crazy. That contract is really one sided in favor of Stoops. UK can't fire him anytime soon and if he does start winning then he can leave anytime because he has no buyout.

I'm actually a huge Stoops Troop fan. Anybody with any basketball knowledge for football knows it takes At Least 15 years to get your players in the system. Lexington fans be patient. The time is now!!*

Nominated for Stupid Post of the Year! Big program wanting stoops. That's freaking hilarious! Good luck with that buyout when you're ready to finally fire his ***. No more meth for you.

Well the national championship defense Stoops built at FSU says otherwise. First, It is difficult to get traction in a real football conference like the SEC, something ul fans could never understand. On top of the SEC being home of the very best talent and coaches, the football powers in our conference are doing everything in their power to keep Stoops and UK football down. I have lost count of how many losses SEC referees have cost us in the past two seasons, In fact, there are several threads on the Lair that show how badly the refs ripped us off in the vandy game. The only explanation is that other SEC schools are jealous of our basketball program and feel the need to hinder our football program because they know that Coach Stoops will soon dominate them the way that Cal does.

What's funny is all UK fans talk about the SEC and how difficult it is to build a tradition and win. Yet Missouri and Texas A&M have came over and competed. Hell Missouri has even won that east a time or 2.

True enough Homes. That explains why Steve Spurrier and Gary Pinkel decided to call it quits and retire.

Don't pay any attention to the people saying that they retired because of embarrassment after losing this year to Stoops and his Mildcats. I say they saw the writing on the wall and got out before the Stoops Big Blew Dynasty is unleashed.

I just hope guys like Nick Saban and Butch Jones get the memo while they can still save face.

I like the fact that homer is here to take the licks for LPT nation. The rest of them are too gutless to show up and discuss what used to be a rivalry game in less than two weeks.

LPT Football: EKU is now our rival...

IF Stoops could just climb to .481, he would go down as the 2nd BEST HC since the Bear.

That's an amazing stat (to me) in itself:

NO uk HC SINCE 1961 HAS LEFT WITH A WIN PERCENTAGE OF OVER 48%. CMS is at around .300 win percentage right now (.140 $EC)

All he has to do is go 9-4 for the next two years and would put himself right behind the Bear at .500!!

That's no hill for a climber like Stoopes! Happy days are there again! They've turned the corner!

I'm kinda warming to the thought of LPT going to a worthless bowl game with 5-7 record. It's kinda like taking a knee--giving them what they want.

Can you imagine the bowl they would get, the team they would play, and their fan turnout?...

Yeah and just think about what would happen if that 5-7 team lost their bowl game to slip to 5-8. :D
