He was. From my seats at the game looked like Revsine was doing game. He had anti-NU bias lol????
You had to hear it on TV to appreciate just how pro-Indiana they were. From my seats at the game looked like Revsine was doing game. He had anti-NU bias lol????
If you have an issue with Revsine calling NU games with any sort of bias, I am not sure what to say to you. I know Revver personally, and he has always said that he tries very hard not to be biased for NU in his studio work, and his game calls. So maybe he was being too careful? I think Dave is always very measured and fair, but I could never see him giving NU the short end of the stick. You had to hear it on TV to appreciate just how pro-Indiana they were.
There were two commmentators. Maybe it was the other guy. They had Indiana winning this game throughout, until Indiana wasn't winning , and even then, it was like they were dying for IU to come back. Constantly commenting that IU was depleted by 5 players. Ahead, even though depleted by 5 players, behind and gassed because they were depleted by 5 players. They just needed to mention it once, not 50 times. It was bad. Reminded me of listening to the opponents broadcasters for B1G football on Satellite radio. There you can understand the favoritism. the BTN represents everyone. If you have an issue with Revsine calling NU games with any sort of bias, I am not sure what to say to you. Are you actually an Indiana fan?I watched the game on BTN.
I thought they were totally unbiased.
The announcers regularly reminded the viewer that Indiana was short players.
That was fairly significant information.
And yes Indiana got tired and had foul problems.
There was nothing anywhere close to Stephen Bardo's objecting to fouls called against Illinois.
What were they supposed to do? Indiana was playing with only 7 scholarship players -- and we didn't run them out of the gym! It wasn't the prettiest game. Indiana was exhausted in the second half and bricks were abounding left and right. Very easy for a neutral fan to tune away to another game. By selling the comeback -- which let's be real, was 100% within the realm of possibility -- they kept an attractive game narrative going. There were two commmentators. Maybe it was the other guy. Perhaps I'm just thin skinned, having been an NU fan for so long. My anti-NU bias antennae are frail from overuse. What were they supposed to do? Also, if you'll allow yourself a moment to consider what happened last night as an unbiased fan, you'll see that 1) Revsine is top-2 pro-NU commentator on the network (the other being Demps) and 2) that the Hoosiers were still in the game was like something out of, well, Hoosiers...
There's also Andy Katz. What were they supposed to do? Indiana was playing with only 7 scholarship players -- and we didn't run them out of the gym! It wasn't the prettiest game. Katz lived in my neighborhood and his daughter went to high school with my boys. They told me when she decided to attend Northwestern. I was happy that we would potentially have another high-profile NU fan in the media! There's also Andy Katz.
PWB secret - his daughter goes to NU and he's a fan of the school, like most paying parents.
Its funny because whenever Andy gets enthused about our team, we immediately tank.
I cringe when he praises us!
Just him, though.
