They seem to re appear in discussion, yet the reality is they have not one a single championship. As a Duke fan, this is probably one of my favorite teams of all time yet as time passes I will remember them as just an elite team... I get the Fab Five changed the landscape of college basketball especially as freshman yet again they won zero championships.

King was pretty good and Jackson was just okay. Duke in 1992 was more talented and beat the Fab 5, and UNC in 1993 was more talented and beat the Fab 5
Jim Jackson played for Ohio State at about the same time. He went on to a good professional career on a dysfunctional Dallas Mavericks team with Jason Kidd and Jamal Mashburn
The Fab 5 were good as freshmen, but they weren’t all that and a bag of snacks. I think most people just recall them as trendsetters and remember Webber’s famous timeout.
