Even more confusing is why didn't Benson get some 2nd half minutes? Seems like he played well in the first. 6 points, 5 boards.Yes he is suited up and on the bench cheering but never gets in the game which is confusing especially when the starters continue to play all the way till the end of the game, despite a 15 + point lead
Yup! Was the postgame interviewee as well...Nance looks like he's settled down a bit....sees and fits into the game better, all of a sudden. Shows confidence and upper level skills. I think CCC is going to have to find him a bit more time.
Nance is a project. Coming from a BB family I just find it odd how "not ready" he is. Puzzling but as Turk says, he needs "serious work". Bobcat is right.First time we've played in 8 days, you want your starters out there so they are not kicking off rust at Michigan State. The only guy who should have received more minutes is probably Kopp, but his inexplicably completely losing his man twice on defense while going for an unnecessary double team rightly earned him a spot on the bench, imo. Looks like Nance was the beneficiary of his minutes, which was fine by me...

There is all kinds of basketball ready.....Most likely played in high school above and beyond everyone else....and AAU ball is a lot of one on one, get up and go stuff.. So while athletically and maybe some skill sets may be ready....He may not be SYSTEM ready. and that takes timeNance is a project. Coming from a BB family I just find it odd how "not ready" he is. Isaiah Brown never learned how to play like he wasn't the best player on the court at all times, with the need and ability to take the team on his back. I'm not saying that's Nance's issue - I don't think it is - but I'd guess he's still learning where he does fit in, and getting *comfortable* with that. There is all kinds of basketball ready.....Most likely played in high school above and beyond everyone else....and AAU ball is a lot of one on one, get up and go stuff..
