Jeff Goodman is reporting that Javon Freeman-Liberty will transfer from Valpo rather than enter the NBA Draft.
You might remember that Javon took an official to NU last spring, when he was again considering transferring from Valpo and was one of NU's top guard targets. He averaged 19/6/3 for the Crusaders last year. He is originally from Chicago Whitney Young and would have two years of eligibility left.
He's a proven scorer, but I'd be surprised if NU goes after him this time. They are in on some big-time kids and really banking on that 2021 class to be a program-changer. I doubt that they'd use a scholarship on JFL at this point. The fact that he spurned them last year to stay at Valpo makes it even more unlikely.
