Not to be a smart *** because I think you make a great point, but we aren't in the Final Four this season just yet. I agree Cal is living up to what he was brought in to do and for that we are are grateful. I just worry that we are all getting way ahead of ourselves here. Yes we are 31-0 and will be the overwhelming favorite to win this thing but its a helluva hard thing to do winning six games in march and april. Just don't want to jinx it. Go Cats

Championships and final fours, historically, don't come very often. Even good teams lose late in the tournament. All you can realistically asks a top program to do is be in the discussion. Minus 2013, we've been in the discussion and had a realistic chance to win it all, twice being the presumed favorite. The more chances, the more banners, period. Cal is playing the numbers game perfectly.

Don't believe what other fans say, they'd all take Elite 8, Final four, Title, NIT, NCAA runner up, and (hopefully) title. 5/6 of those would be once in a decade successes for even good programs, and we get them all smushed together. Cal is on a run unprecedented in the modern game.

Even if some chance we don't make the final four this season..........we've been to the Final Four 3 times in the 6 years Cal has been here.

That's amazing. It could be 4 outta 6. Just incredible.

No...we aren't yet, but we have been to Final Fours 3 out of the past 4 years. Does that not constitute what he was saying?

Assuming eight guys don't go pro, we're back in the thick of it next year, too. And assuming eight guys don't go pro next year, same thing.

The only thing that slowed down this train was Teague and Lamb jumping. I don't blame them--whatever. But that's a fact. If 2012-3 had even competent guard play--let alone the potential All-American guard play that Teague and Lamb would have brought--they're in the hunt for a repeat: Teague, Lamb, Poythress, Nerlens, Wiltjer, with WCS, Archie, Harrow, and Mays coming off the bench . . . that's a helluva team, especially considering that 2013 was such a weak tournament. Oh well.
