While I have always appreciated BB King, I was never a fan until I saw him live at Eisenhower Auditorium. Front row center, camped out for 10 hours and was the first in line. I just figured that I couldn't miss the chance to see a legend of his status. He blew me away. I am not an autograph guy, but I got him to sign my ticket after the encore. This is my favorite video of him. Breaks a string at around the three minute mark and just keeps on performing while restringing the guitar himself. Ultimate pro move.

I saw him in Memphis, at his club several times, good to shake his hand. Jalapeño cornbread and red beans and rice off the hook btw...

I love jalapeno cornbread - with some apple butter.

Man this thread should be right up my alley but all the good ones got taken real quick.

I've been wracking my brain... the best I can come up with is guys who got fat later...

I'm thinking Syd Barrett was pretty chunky-style in the 70s... and right then this pops up on Yahoo of all places. It's pretty cool either way and the song is about food.

Is being fat a relevant factor in playing the guitar?

Then there's the issue of what standard to use. Do you use European or American standards?
