If you you had to pick one what would it be. My personal choice is Red Alert 3. I know not a lot people have heard of this game but I found it to be pretty addictive.

Probably EA sports NFL/Madden Football. I would say Elder Scrolls Skyrim.....which I have played start to finish about 3x........but I've played Madden franchises every yr steadily since they started to produce them.

That's commitment. Those games have been out for quite a while.

I've never bought consecutive editions. I mainly just bought a used version of the newest game about every 3 yrs. My gaming has always been in spurts. I will often purchase a game......play it 1-3 hrs a day until it's completed......then not pick up a controller for a few months. It's much harder now with the family.

Football, (whether Madden of NFL) is a game that I can play whenever I have a whim......and not really ever worry about obsessing over it because it doesn't have an end. One season leads into another.

Boy that’s hard - I think Mario 64 is the greatest game of all time buts it’s one player. I’d have to say either Mario Kart on GameCube or NCAA football 2004 were the games I played the most all time and could probably play for hours today. But I haven’t played a video game in 10 years.

NBA Live 05. The controls for dribbling were perfection. I haven't played games in years so I have no clue what they are like now.

Not sure it qualifies as a Video game but loved the King's Quest series on my PC.

Old school at early 80s arcades: Ms. Pacman. I was an okay player. Friend of mine, who presently lives in Nashville, was a master thereof. We spent many $$ in quarters on that game. Loved the Commodore 64 port from Atari. Solid. Broke a couple US-made Wico bat-handle joysticks back in the day.

Runner-up: Pole Position. "Prepare to qualify".

Ultimate fave: Civilization 3.

Honorable mention: Doom.

Dragons lair had me addicted a long time ago. Many a quarter put in that machine.

Today’s addiction is Fortnite.

Half-life (that includes mods!)
Deus Ex - revolutionary, great story telling, FPS/RPG
Advanced Wars - seriously overlooked turn
-based war game.

Battlefield series was a very close 4th.

More memories from my nerdy days.......

Sid Meier's Pirates! Released in 1987. Loved the C64 port (version). Purchased it in the US. Read the manual twice while on a Pan Am 747 flight back to Germany. Played it so much, I wore out the original disk and purchased another a few months later.

Lode Runner. Stationed at a missile site 1984-87. Our commander back then -- he's now a District Attorney in Montana -- was so addicted to the game that he told all the junior officers to get screwed so he could try attaining level 50. Ha ha, he spent 8 hours straight playing it.
